Jefferson Park Preschool is a well-respected childcare center located in the heart of Elizabeth, NJ. Jefferson Park Preschool was established in 1969 by concerned Elizabeth residents as a private, non-profit organization to provide quality daycare for children of working families. Since its founding Jefferson Park has provided a word-class early childhood program; with a majority of it's graduates going on to excel in academics and gain entry to honors and gifted and talented programsThis is an excellent chance to join a friendly, vibrant, and dynamic team environment. Recent early childhood graduates are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and deliver curriculum founded on the center's philosophies whilst following High Scope Curriculum.</li><li>Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning.</li><li>Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior</li><li>Build good, open communication with children, families, and staff</li><li>Observe and record children's growth, development and behavior using electronic portfolios</li><li>Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe</li><li>Help develop teaching goals for the center and its teachers</li><li>Undertake administrative tasks as required</li><li>Submit weekly lesson plans</li><li>Work with colleagues on school-wide special events</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>A Bachelor Degree in Education (Early Childhood) or related field</li><li>NJ Teaching Certificate CE or CEAS; P-3 Certification</li><li>Experience working in a childcare setting</li><li>Fantastic organizational and teamwork skills</li><li>Sound written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Friendly personality ability to communicate with parents</li><li>A good level of computer literacy</li><li>A good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework</li></ul>The full-time position begins in September 2021.Jefferson Park Preschool prides itself on offering excellent working conditions to its employees including professional development, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities to be rewarded for outstanding performance.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
