External Job Description</div>

Purpose: The Production Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of creating the daily production schedule of a busy manufacturing plant in a make-to-stock and make-to-order environment. This includes but is not limited to; working safely, planning and processing of production schedules, printing and organizing production documents, processing of purchase orders, following SOPs, maintaining historical information, troubleshooting, cost reduction, communicating with suppliers, and continuous improvement.</div><br>

Job Duties:</div>
<ul>
<li>Plan Production Schedules</li>
<li>Interface with internal departments to develop and execute the Plan</li>
<li>Process Production Schedules in the ERP System</li>
<li>Further process schedules in other software</li>
<li>Prepare production paperwork</li>
<li>Place Purchase orders</li>
<li>Maintain Excel spreadsheets</li>
<li>Work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies (quality, delivery, etc)</li>
<li>Collect and maintain data and other historical information</li>
<li>Problem solve for continuous improvement</li>
<li>Support other office functions as needed</li>
</ul>
<div>Required Skills/Experience:</div>
<ul>
<li>Must have a HS Diploma; some college or specialized training preferred</li>
<li>2+ years of work experience in an office setting; preferably in manufacturing but not required</li>
<li>Self-starter and able to perform the job with minimal supervision once trained</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of computers</li>
<li>Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management and suppliers.</li>
<li>Strong work ethic and attendance</li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Outlook</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel</li>
<li>Willingness to work OT as required to complete daily work</li>

The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organization&rsquo;s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.</div>
<div><b><i>
Duties/Responsibilities:</i></b></div>
<ul>
<li>Maintains consistent stock of inventory, actively works with Purchasing on ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.</li>
<li>Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.</li>
<li>Provides inventory reports to purchasing and plant manager.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.</li>
<li>Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing manager.</li>
<li>Conducts cycle counts and partial audits of physical inventory.</li>
<li>Manages quarterly and annual physical inventory audits.</li>
<li>Operates forklift truck when necessary.</li>
<li>Communicates inventory shortages to plant and customer service department.</li>
<li>Responsible for the investigation of inventory stock outs.</li>
<li>Works in conjunction with Purchasing Manager on product substitutions.</li>
<li>Work overtime as needed to satisfy customer demands.</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as requested.</li></ul><br>

Required Skills/Abilities:</i></b></div>
<ul>
<li>Excellent communication skills with warehouse associates, purchasing department, and outside vendors.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills, including data management.</li>
<li>Extremely organized and able to work with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Ability to perform basic math calculations.</li>
</ul>
<div><b><i>Education and Experience:</i></b></div>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Experience with computerized inventory systems required.</li>
<li>Forklift operator certification preferred.</li>
</ul>
<div><b><i>Physical Requirements:</i></b></div>
<ul>
<li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li>
<li>The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally team lifting anything exceeding 50 pounds</li>
<li>Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.</li>
