Overview &ndash; Role

We are seeking a skilled CFD / Fire and Egress Modeling Engineer to support fire engineering and life safety projects through advanced numerical modeling and performance-based analysis. The role involves applying computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fire and smoke modeling, and egress simulations to assess fire scenarios, occupant safety, and regulatory compliance across a wide range of developments.

This role while based in Doha , Qatar will be handling projects across Middle East / other international locations

Responsibilities&middot;
<ul><li>Carry out CFD fire and smoke modeling using FDS / PyroSim for complex geometries.</li>
<li>Develop credible fire scenarios in line with codes, standards, and project requirements.</li>
<li>Perform egress and evacuation modeling using Pathfinder, MassMotion, STEPS, or similar tools.</li>
<li>Assess evacuation times, crowd movement, congestion, and exit capacities to support ASET/RSET and performance-based design.</li>
<li>Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and approval authorities.</li>
<li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and QA.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related discipline) with 5&ndash;10 years of experience in CFD fire modeling and egress analysis, preferably on Middle East projects involving regulatory authority approvals.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience developing 3D models for complex facilities (e.g., airports, stadiums) using PyroSim, Pathfinder, or similar tools.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of fire dynamics, smoke control, and international codes and standards (NFPA / IBC).</li>
<li>Excellent technical report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li>

Overview &ndash; Role

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Fire Engineer (site based) for complex Fire &amp; Life Safety Project in the Jeddah region of Saudi Arabia.

This role requires proficiency in different aspects of the Project's Fire &amp; Life safety requirements including but not limited to review of Contractors' documentation, passive/active and ventilation fire protection systems -installation, commissioning, inspections &amp; testing. In this role you will work in line with the client expectations and compliance requirements within the agreed project scope while coordinating with the Project Manager and the team members. Expertise related to FLS review of Contractors documentation, systems, calculations and reports would be the key requirements for the role.

Responsibilities&middot;
<ul><li>Review Contractor's Fire &amp; Life Safety (FLS) packages based on (NFPA codes, SBC codes and GDCD requirements)</li>
<li>Conduct a comprehensive technical review Contractor's Fire &amp; Life Safety (FLS) documentation including but not limited to FLS/fire protection Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Method Statements for testing, inspections, commissioning and handover of all passive and active fire protection systems</li>
<li>Conduct Building Code Analysis and Gap Analysis as required by Contractor's submissions</li>
<li>Assess Construction site potential fire safety hazards, occupational health and safety hazards for buildings and facilities under Construction Supervision</li>
<li>Conduct frequent site inspections for all passive and active fire systems with data collection and reporting</li>
<li>Conduct testing, commissioning and hand-over site inspections for all passive and active fire protection systems with data collection and reporting</li>
<li>Review and approve Contractor's Fire Risk Assessments and review emergency evacuation plans.</li> 
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil/Architectural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred</li>
<li>Ability to enter and work in Makkah</li>
<li>7+ years of project experience up to 15 years, covering design review, construction supervision, fire protection installations inspections, surveys, audits, testing/commissioning and approvals</li>
<li>Proven experience in FLS calculations and reporting</li>
<li>Preferably certified on all/either NFPA 13, 20, 72, 101, 2001 codes by approved NFPA instructors</li>
<li>Proven site experience related to Fire Protection, Suppression, Fire Alarm systems, Ventilation, and passive fire systems</li>
<li>Proven experience in liaising with local Authority, Contractors, and Clients to obtain all required certificates for occupancy</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to undertake work independently</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills</li>

Overview &ndash; Role

Jensen Hughes is now seeking an experienced Engineer - FLS Inspections and Audit - to join our operations in Makkah. In this role you will be responsible for conducting operations and maintenance fire protection and life safety inspections. This role involves working closely with the various stakeholders in the Fire protection team to ensure compliance with local codes and standards.

This is a client-facing role and requires a solid technical understanding of Fire and Life Safety principles, and excellent communication &amp; organization skills. In this role, you will demonstrate experience and passion in Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and Fire Protection Systems Design.

Responsibilities&middot;
<ul><li>Witness and document Operation and Maintenance inspections and testing of fire protection and suppression systems, fire alarms, manual fire suppression equipment, smoke control system and emergency power</li>
<li>Conduct visual inspections of passive fire protection systems, egress routes, and life safety provisions</li>
<li>Verify all results meet the acceptance criteria defined by NFPA and other international standards.</li>
<li>Review of the maintenance records of fire and life safety systems</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5 years to 9 years of experience in the relevant field</li>
<li>Experience in operation and maintenance is preferred</li>
<li>Ability to enter and work in Makkah</li>
<li>Fluent in Arabic (preferred); English proficiency required</li>
