GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Human Resource Generalist reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the Executive Team and staff. This position interacts regularly with employees while maintaining relationships with outside vendors. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.RESPONSIBILITIES1. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.2. Implements new hire orientation, conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.3. Maintain good working relationships with internal staff and outside vendors.4. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.5. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.6. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.7. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.8. Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS&middot; A Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources or Business Administration; or the equivalent of relevant experience and training.&middot; At least 3 years of work experience with personal computer applications and data entry, including experience with Windows and Microsoft Office. Excel experience is preferred.&middot; Must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated to carry out responsibilities independently, pay close attention to detail and accuracy, be capable of meeting inflexible deadlines, and be prepared to make a productive contribution to the Status: Home team.&middot; Have a valid Georgia state driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation.&middot; Ability to pass a criminal background check.&middot; Must consent to and pass drug test.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position requires the ability to perform general office duties such as typing, using office equipment and moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds).
