Your Impact:

As the Avionics Crew Chief at Jet Access, you serve as a highly experienced technical leader responsible for overseeing the avionics team, leading advanced installations, and ensuring system integration excellence across business aviation aircraft platforms. You independently execute and supervise complex avionics projects, evaluate compatibility, mentor technicians, and ensure seamless integration of modern avionics systems into both legacy and modern aircraft while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. 


Your Competitive Edge:

Base Salary of $30.00-$50.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly plus $4.00 per hour for Crew Chief Incentive Pay</li><li>
Overtime pay for all hours over 40 hours per week</li><li>
$6.00 per hour shift premium for 2nd shift</li><li>
$2.00 per hour travel premium for AOG assignments</li></ul>

Where You Make Your Mark:

As the Avionics Crew Chief at Jet Access, you serve as a highly experienced technical leader responsible for overseeing avionics operations, leading advanced installations, and driving system integration excellence across business aviation platforms. You are expected to independently execute and supervise installations, evaluate compatibility, and ensure seamless integrations of modern avionics systems into both legacy and modern aircraft. Here's what your role encompasses: 


Advanced Avionics Installation &amp; System Integration
<ul><li>
Perform and lead complex avionics installations including panel upgrades, retrofits, STC modifications, and full system integrations</li><li>
Install and integrate Garmin, Collins, Avidyne, and other OEM systems while evaluating aircraft configuration to ensure system compatibility prior to installation</li><li>
Modify, fabricate, terminate, and route wiring harnesses to professional aviation standards</li><li>
Integrate avionics with autopilot, navigation, communication, engine indication, and flight control systems</li><li>
Install and configure Gogo ATG and satellite connectivity systems, ensuring proper antenna installation, system calibration, and performance validation</li></ul> 


Advanced Troubleshooting &amp; Technical Expertise
<ul><li>
Diagnose and resolve advanced avionics discrepancies to LRU and component level</li><li>
Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and aircraft maintenance manuals</li><li>
Identify and resolve system conflicts between legacy electrical architecture and modern avionics equipment</li><li>
Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and avionics test equipment to validate system performance</li><li>
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, data, and connectivity integration issues between cockpit and cabin systems</li></ul> 


Aircraft Platform Experience &amp; Quality Standards
<ul><li>
Perform avionics installations and modifications on piston, turboprop, and light jet aircraft</li><li>
Demonstrate working knowledge of common GA platforms including Cirrus, Beechcraft, Cessna, Hawker, and Embraer aircraft</li><li>
Ensure all installations meet FAA regulations, STC requirements, and company quality standards</li><li>
Accurately document all work performed in accordance with FAA and company requirements</li><li>
Complete logbook entries, Form 337 documentation as required, and maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all avionics projects</li></ul> 


Team Leadership &amp; Technical Oversight
<ul><li>
Serve as avionics crew chief and senior technical resource, setting the standard for installation quality and troubleshooting methodology</li><li>
Oversee and mentor avionics technicians in wiring practices, system integration, and diagnostic techniques</li><li>
Provide installation guidance and review complex work to ensure compliance with OEM specifications and FAA regulations</li><li>
Assist in planning avionics projects by identifying compatibility considerations, labor scope, and technical risk areas</li><li>
Promote a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement within the avionics department while communicating technical findings clearly to Maintenance leadership and cross-functional teams</li></ul> 


Continuous Improvement &amp; Operational Excellence

Lead continuous improvement initiatives for avionics installation processes and quality standards</li><li>
Stay current with evolving avionics technologies, regulations, and industry best practices</li><li>
Collaborate with parts department and vendors to ensure timely acquisition of specialized avionics components</li><li>
Maintain constant vigilance for safety protocols while ensuring all work adheres to the highest quality standards</li><li>
Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Access's continued growth and success</li></ul>

What Will Make You Successful:

Required Skills &amp; Experience
<ul><li>
Current A&amp;P License preferred</li><li>
Minimum 5-7 years of experience with diversified jet, turboprop, or piston aircraft avionics maintenance in MRO environment</li><li>
Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing avionics teams and complex installations including panel upgrades, retrofits, and STC modifications</li><li>
Proven experience with wiring fabrication, harness modification, termination, and routing to professional aviation standards</li><li>
Experience with Garmin, Collins, Avidyne, and other major OEM avionics systems</li><li>
Advanced knowledge of system integration between avionics, autopilot, navigation, communication, and flight control systems</li><li>
Experience with Form 337 documentation, STC compliance, and audit-ready documentation practices</li><li>
Proficiency with advanced diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized avionics test equipment</li><li>
Working knowledge of multiple GA platforms such as Cirrus, Beechcraft, Cessna, Hawker, and Embraer aircraft</li><li>
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve system conflicts between legacy and modern avionics equipment</li><li>
Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring, and training avionics technicians</li><li>
Valid state driver's license and clean driving record</li><li>
Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening</li><li>
Excellent communication and leadership skills for coordinating with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams</li><li>

Familiarity with Wi-Fi, data, and connectivity integration between cockpit and cabin systems</li><li>
Experience with computerized maintenance tracking systems and avionics diagnostic software</li><li>
Understanding of hydraulic, flight control, and powerplant systems for integrated troubleshooting</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with methodical troubleshooting approach</li><li>

Willingness to travel for avionics support at other locations or AOG situations</li><li>
