Purpose: The Fraud Prevention and Victim Support Specialist helps older adults who have suffered financial exploitation; physical, emotional or sexual abuse; robbery or burglary; caregiver neglect and other crimes with supportive services to navigate the criminal justice system and respond to their resulting emotional, physical, and financial needs.Essential Functions:&middot; Manage a case load of older victims of crime.&middot; Accompany and support clients in court proceedings.&middot; Identify emergency housing options.&middot; Engage in outreach, advocacy, case management and counseling activities.&middot; Conduct trainings, workshops and educational events on crime prevention.&middot; Provide concrete services such as, completing eligibility forms, filing police reports and protective orders, accessing community resources and filing Crime Victim&rsquo;s Compensation claims.&middot; Coordinate and facilitate access to services.&middot; Networking with community service providers.&middot; Track, monitor, case note and report client events.&middot; Information &amp; Referral (I&amp;R) services with clients and family members.Secondary Duties:&middot; Maintain accurate, complete and timely client records and associated notes in the mandated systems according to agency and HIPAA policies.&middot; Attend staff, team and impact area meetings.&middot; Other duties, assigned.Travel Requirement: Considerable local travel (Louisville Metro area) required during the course of business.Pre-Employment Requirements: Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment background and drivers&rsquo; record check. Negative TB test and drug screen required.Education, Training and Experience Requirements:&middot; Bachelors in human services field or equivalent experiencePerformance Requirements: &middot; Stay current on general community resources and local/federal entitlement programs.&middot; Responsible for meeting agency, grant and other funder outcomes in a timely manner&middot; Attend all agency and department meetings, including weekly clinical meeting with peer clinical supervision.&middot; Meet reporting and departmental deadlines.&middot; Maintain up-to-date client case records and outcomes measurement as mandated by internal policies and procedures, and by those with contracted organizations.&middot; Handle all Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) confidentially and follow agency mandates procedures regarding the security of client/agency information.&middot; Conduct self in a professional and respectful manner with coworkers and community members.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:&middot; Ability to develop constructive, professional and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain those relationships over time.&middot; Effectively utilize general and program-specific computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Penelope, etc.)&middot; Effectively operate typical office equipment (telephone, computer, fax machine, copier, mail machine, etc.)&middot; Sensitivity to different cultural, socio-economic and age groups.Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:&middot; Tasks involve sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching and performing other physical requirements commensurate with demands of the position, specifically conducting home visits.&middot; Sedentary work which involves sitting most of the time.&middot; Must be able to speak (expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words)&middot; Must be able to hear (hearing aids acceptable)&middot; Close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, excessive reading, and preparing and analyzing data and figures (corrective devices acceptable).&middot; The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office work).Pay: $51,380.00 - $57,089.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>403(b)</li><li>403(b) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
