PROJECT DESIGNERJill Romine Interiors is a bi-coastal design firm seeking a talented Project Designer to support all phases of residential interior design projects. This particular role is for the East Coast and is based in New York City. This is a 1099 contractor position requiring approximately 15-25 hours a week at $55/hr, with potential for full time employment.This role is hybrid with up to 20% travel required within the tri-state area (primarily within NY). Team meetings will take place online.Please apply here: https://forms.gle/EhBpvYwaEu4Kuvqi9QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS:Technical Skills<ul><li>High proficiency in AutoCAD</li><li>Proficient in Sketchup, Photoshop, Canva, Google Slides</li><li>Experience using Studio Designer</li><li>Ability to create Design Documentation including:</li><li>space plans, furniture plans, lighting plans, technical elevations, finish elevations, custom millwork, fabrication details, custom furniture</li><li>3-D rendering a plus</li><li>Experience with AI-powered design software is a plus</li></ul>Client &amp; Site Management<ul><li>Able to lead client meetings &amp; presentations, in person and remotely</li><li>Able to manage site visits and vendor fabrication progress</li><li>Ability to travel within the tri-state area, primarily within NY</li></ul>Project Management<ul><li>Able to balance creative vision with budget constraints and project deadlines</li><li>Ability to lead, delegate and work in a team environment</li></ul>About You<ul><li>5+ years of proven experience in high-end residential or commercial design</li><li>Robust knowledge of the high end residential design product market</li><li>Adaptable and willing to learn new things</li><li>Give and receive constructive feedback well</li><li>Autonomously motivated and able to problem-solve on your own</li><li>Highly collaborative with the understanding that &ldquo;none of us are better than all of us&rdquo;</li><li>Able to work on several projects at once with excellent time and project management skills</li></ul>THE ROLE: Project Designer will oversee projects from conception through completion under direction of the Lead Designer, taking responsibility for the execution of each step of the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct site measures, walkthroughs, and documentation</li><li>Draft existing conditions, space plans, and furniture layouts in CAD / SketchUp</li><li>Develop concept and design moodboards, materials palettes, and project budgets</li><li>Source and curate furniture, fixtures, finishes, fabrics, and materials (online and in person)</li><li>Produce spec books (lighting, plumbing, materials, appliances)</li><li>Create and refine architectural drawings, elevations, and 3D models</li><li>Coordinate with the Purchasing team on samples, quotes, and proposals</li><li>Manage project communication and client presentations alongside the Lead Designer</li><li>Oversee custom furniture and millwork fabrication, installations, and quality control visits</li><li>Communicate with contractors and architects and assist on photoshoots</li></ul>ABOUT JILL ROMINE INTERIORSJill Romine Interiors (https://www.jillromine.com/) is a multidisciplinary design studio that approaches interior design via the art of storytelling.
