 JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with full-service law firm in search of a Legal Assistant to join its litigation team!
 
 Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys within a Litigation and Insurance Defense practice group. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced legal environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to prioritize and multitask across assignments from multiple attorneys.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Interact with clients, court personnel, and attorneys via phone, email, and in-person.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling orders, depositions, client meetings, and other key deadlines in Outlook.
 </li>
 <li>
 Draft, revise, format, and edit documents.
 </li>
 <li>
 Electronically file documents in state and federal court as well as administrative agencies.
 </li>
 <li>
 E-file documents using NYSCEF on behalf of attorneys and maintain familiarity with the NYSCEF e-filing system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and draft litigation-related documents such as affidavits of service and notices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Generate and edit basic pleadings and discovery requests/responses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Open and close files.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and organize files using SharePoint and other systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide general support to various attorneys in a busy litigation practice.
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle client contact and scheduling.
 </li>
 <li>
 Filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Type dictation for one attorney using the firm&rsquo;s BigHand software application.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience working in a law firm, specifically within litigation departments, required.
 </li>
 <li>
 2+ years of experience working in an administrative capacity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for file organization and management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with NYSCEF e-filing system required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong typing and transcription experience, including dictation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent organizational and time management skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to handle a large volume of work with attention to detail.
 </li>
 <li>
 High level of professionalism and discretion.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to learn and adapt to organizational needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reliable, punctual, and professional.
 </li>
 <li>
 Team player with a positive attitude.
 </li>

 Salary Range
 
 
 <ul>

 $28-$32/hour
 </li>
