JM Eagle is seeking a Benefits Reconciliation Specialist / Benefits Analyst to support the accuracy, compliance, and smooth operation of our company&rsquo;s benefit programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely billing, payments, reconciliations, and vendor coordination&mdash;foundational work that keeps our processes running the way they always should: clean, consistent, and reliable. This role is an onsite position Monday through Thursday at our Los Angeles office near LAX, with remote work only on Fridays. The remote day applies exclusively to Fridays and cannot be substituted.

Key Responsibilities</h2><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Benefits Billing &amp; Payments</h3><ul><li>
Review, reconcile, and process monthly benefit invoices across all plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits).</li><li>
Prepare check requests and ensure all required documentation and approvals are obtained.</li><li>
Track payment status and follow up with Accounting to confirm checks have been issued.</li><li>
Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies, overpayments, and credits.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and vendor communications.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Reconciliation &amp; Reporting</h3><ul><li>
Perform monthly reconciliation of benefits deductions against vendor invoices.</li><li>
Identify variances and collaborate with Payroll and vendors to resolve discrepancies.</li><li>
Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and reports using advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).</li><li>
Support annual benefits audits and assist with 5500 reporting requirements.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Benefits Administration Support</h3><ul><li>
Assist with enrollment processing, life event changes, and eligibility tracking as needed.</li><li>
Support HR during open enrollment, including data review and vendor coordination.</li><li>
Help track employees on LOA to ensure proper benefit deductions and premium payments.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Vendor &amp; Internal Collaboration</h3><ul><li>
Serve as a point of contact for vendors regarding billing and payment questions.</li><li>
Partner with HR, Payroll, and Accounting to ensure seamless benefit operations.</li><li>
Follow up with vendors to address missing invoices, incorrect charges, or discrepancies.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">

Qualifications</h2><ul><li>
2&ndash;4 years of experience in HR, accounting, benefits administration, or a related field.</li><li>
Strong understanding of accounting principles and invoice processing.</li><li>
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.</li><li>
Experience with HRIS or benefits administration systems preferred.</li><li>
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.</li><li>
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.</li><li>
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
