 Product Manager: Platform
 
 who can help build the foundational systems that power growth, personalization, experimentation, and analytics at scale.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 The role:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 You will work at the intersection of engineering, data, and growth to build micro-services, experimentation frameworks, internal tools, APIs, and instrumentation that enable JoVE to innovate rapidly and scale reliably.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Define and drive the roadmap for core
 
 platform services and micro-service architecture
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner closely with the engineering team to design scalable, modular systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish
 
 product instrumentation standards
 
 to capture meaningful metrics across the platform
 </li>
 <li>
 Design and launch APIs, internal tools, and reusable services that enable faster product experimentation
 </li>
 <li>
 Build systems that support
 
 personalization
 
 ,
 
 content discovery and delivery
 
 ,
 
 accessibility
 
 , and
 
 analytics
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Own platform KPIs including reliability, latency, adoption, and experimentation velocity
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with data teams to define event tracking frameworks and analytics infrastructure
 </li>
 <li>
 Reduce technical and vendor dependencies by identifying build vs. buy opportunities
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure platform decisions improve product velocity across growth, content, and enterprise use cases
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive innovation at scale by enabling
 
 rapid feature iteration
 
 across global markets
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 A Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree
 </li>
 <li>
 2-5 years of Product Management experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience building products in
 
 EdTech, SaaS, marketplaces, healthtech, or consumer tech
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Exposure to backend systems, APIs, or micro-services driven architectures
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with SQL, event tracking, data pipelines, or experimentation frameworks
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience defining and tracking product metrics beyond surface-level dashboards to measure and improve business performance
 </li>
 <li>
 Results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
 </li>
