Our Jobologi team is seeking an Entry Level Radiology Image Library Associate.
 
The Entry Level Radiology Image Library Associate is a key component to the Radiology Department. They are instrumental in the patient experience and helping the Radiologist maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
 
In this role, you will work closely with patients, doctors, and other hospital staff, both inside and outside of the hospital system. You will gain experience in numerous healthcare related technologies such as the EHR (Electronic Health Record) System and PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System).
 
Job Responsibilities: 
Patient Experience
 <ul>
<li>Greeting and checking-in patients arriving for medical imaging procedures</li>
<li>Take phone calls from patients requesting imaging records</li>
<li>Prepare the requests for pick-up or mail-out</li>
<li>Ensure all forms required for release of medical records are completed before releasing imaging records</li>
<li>Upload medical imaging studies performed at outside healthcare facilities for patients</li>
<li>Create required orders in the EHR system</li>
</ul>
Radiology Image Library: 
<ul>
<li>Triage phone calls to the reading room</li>
<li>Report critical results to appropriate providers</li>
<li>Complete communication within the appropriate SLA (Service Level Agreement)</li>
<li>Document the communication in the appropriate systems</li>
<li>Manage the Follow-up worklist</li>
<li>Contact providers regarding exams that have follow-ups due in the given time frame</li>
<li>Document the communication in the appropriate systems</li>
<li>Track the resolution of the follow-ups</li>
<li>Manage patient worklists for treatment and educational conferences</li>
<li>Load patient images appropriate groups for weekly patient review conferences</li>
</ul>
Radiology Support Staff
 <ul>
<li>Import images and reports from outside healthcare providers</li>
<li>Transfer images and reports to other healthcare providers</li>
<li>Ensure proper documentation is received for release of images and record in patient’s chart</li>
<li>Assist with legal requests</li>
<li>De-identify imaging for research studies</li>
<li>Monitor work queues for failed automated faxes communicating results reports</li>
<li>Contact provider for correct fax number and resend fax</li>
<li>Document communication</li>
<li>Open ticket to have fax number updated</li>
</ul>
Teamwork
 <ul>
<li>Build positive relationships with colleagues</li>
<li>Coach and/or mentor peers, formally or informally</li>
<li>Assist others in acquiring department specific knowledge, skills, and abilities</li>
</ul>
Required Skills: 
<ul>
<li>Good verbal and communication skills; accurate documentation skills; ability to read and correctly pronounce medical terminology; must have excellent phone etiquette.</li>
<li>Must have good computer skills to understand, navigate, and enter data on multiple IT systems and Radiology-centric systems.</li>
<li>Must be able to multitask and handle acute, stressful and busy periods. Task completion with accuracy is critical.</li>
<li>Ability to function efficiently and professionally with minimum supervision.</li>
<li>Ability to quickly learn new procedures.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills.</li>
<li>Strong customer service skills.</li>
<li>Ability to display compassion and empathy</li>
</ul>
Work Hours: Mon- Weds 8:30am-5pm
 Preferred: Associates/Bachelors degree in related
