<b>Position Overview:</b>
<br>
As an <b>OSP Engineer III</b>, you will be responsible for planning, designing, documenting, and permitting proposed new outside plant FTTx build-outs. This role will work as a member of our Fiber Design &amp; Implementation team to produce high-quality deliverables for buried, underground, and aerial fiber applications.</div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Responsibilities</b></h3><br>
<ul>
<li>
Reads and understands maps, drawings, and diagrams for Telecom/FFTx OSP construction.</li>
<li>Creates and reviews fiber assignments (schematics), high-level designs, and low-level designs.</li>
<li>Communicate with project managers, permitting team, and field personnel to produce accurate deliverables in accordance with deadlines, client expectations, and JSI standards.</li>
<li>Continuously improves job-related tasks and processes, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.</li>
<li>Completes other tasks assigned by manager/supervisor.</li></ul><div></div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Required Qualifications</b></h3><br>
<ul>
<li>
A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering or a related field is required. (The degree must meet educational requirements for EIT and/or PE certification according to the licensing board for the state of employment.)</li>
<li>6+ years of experience with OSP design, engineering, and deliverable production is required.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of GIS, including ArcGIS/QGIS/Google Earth, etc.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD-based software.</li>
<li>Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for Telecom/FFTx OSP construction.</li>
<li>Must possess intermediate skills in basic programs like Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.</li>
<li>Highly organized, self-starter, and detail-oriented.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.</li>
<li>Superior time management and strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Overtime is often required.</li>
<li>This position requires U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status.</li></ul><br>
