You are an experienced civil litigator who is comfortable both in the courtroom and in complex written advocacy.. You are seeking:<ul><li>A serious, full-time role with clear expectations and meaningful responsibility;</li><li>A primarily remote position that still has structure, resources, tech tools, accountability, and collegiality;</li><li>Less drama and internal politics than many larger firms; and</li><li>More substance, stability, and long-term client relationships than a loosely organized remote or solo practice.</li></ul>You want your work, judgment, and ethics to matter&mdash;and you expect to be compensated fairly and transparently for that.Role Snapshot<ul><li>Position: Full-Time Litigation Attorney (W-2)</li><li>Core Practice Areas: Real estate litigation, foreclosure, title and boundary disputes, landlord&ndash;tenant, probate/estate-related disputes, and other areas of practice related to property law (likely to include some non-litigation work as well)</li><li>Location: Edmond, Oklahoma &ndash; primarily remote, with in-person court and periodic office presence as needed (including weekly team meetings in person)</li><li>Schedule: Full-time, generally 40+ hours per week</li><li>Base Salary &amp; Total Compensation:</li><li>Base salary range: $70,000 &ndash; $100,000, depending on experience and level of autonomy;</li><li>Total compensation (base + bonus): for attorneys who meet or exceed expectations, realistic overall compensation is typically in the $100,000 &ndash; $150,000 range, with opportunities for growth over time as responsibility and performance increase.</li></ul>For highly qualified litigators who can manage a full docket and high billable hours with substantial autonomy, we anticipate base compensation near the top of the range (around $100,000), with structured bonus potential intended to bring total compensation into the $100,000&ndash;$150,000 range in the current structure.The Work You&rsquo;ll DoYou will serve as primary litigation counsel on a focused docket of property-related matters. Common case types include:<ul><li>Foreclosure and lien enforcement. Judicial foreclosures, lien priority disputes, and related title issues.</li><li>Real estate and title litigation. Quiet title actions, boundary and easement disputes, encroachments, access issues, and adverse possession.</li><li>Landlord&ndash;tenant and property management disputes. Residential and commercial evictions, lease enforcement, rent and damages, and security deposit matters.</li><li>Probate, estate, and fiduciary disputes involving real property. Will contests, heir/beneficiary disputes, and fiduciary duty claims tied to real estate or estate assets.</li><li>Real-estate-related contract and business disputes. Disputes involving buyers, sellers, investors, HOAs/POAs, builders, and developers.</li><li>Other areas of practice related to property law.</li><li>Other areas of practice that the applicant may wish to maintain or seek out.</li></ul>Your responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Managing cases from intake through final resolution;</li><li>Developing litigation strategy, assessing risk, and providing clear cost-benefit advice to clients;</li><li>Drafting pleadings, written discovery, motions (including dispositive motions), and trial briefs;</li><li>Taking and defending depositions;</li><li>Appearing in court for hearings, mediations, and when appropriate, trials&mdash;generally as first chair.</li></ul>What Success Looks Like in This RoleAn attorney will be effective in this position if he or she:<ul><li>Engages with litigation as a craft&mdash;prepared to advocate firmly when needed, while exercising sound judgment about when to narrow issues or pursue resolution;</li><li>Keeps matters moving without constant oversight, including disciplined calendaring, follow-up, and communication;</li><li>Provides clients with realistic, candid evaluations of risk, cost, and likely outcomes;</li><li>Maintains a high level of professionalism with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, even in contentious matters;</li><li>Appreciates a work environment where substance, reliability, and long-term relationships are more highly valued than image or internal politics.</li></ul>Hours, Expectations &amp; ProductivityThis is a full-time career position with clear expectations.<ul><li>Hours: A standard full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week.</li><li>Billable Target: Minimum 1,300 billable hours per year (or equivalent revenue), with higher targets linked to higher bonus potential.</li></ul>Expectations are more moderate than typical large-firm requirements, but distinctly more structured and performance-oriented than an informal or side-gig remote role. You will know how your work is measured and how it connects to your compensation.CompensationOur compensation structure is designed to be attractive to serious career litigators, including those coming from more traditional or larger-firm environments.<ul><li>Base Salary:</li><li>General base salary range: $70,000 &ndash; $100,000, depending on experience, litigation skill set, and ability to manage a docket independently.</li><li>For seasoned litigators prepared to devote full-time effort to the firm&rsquo;s caseload, we anticipate base pay near the top of the range (around $100,000).</li><li>Performance-Based Bonus &amp; Total Compensation:</li><li>Structured bonus tied to billable hours and/or collected fees.</li><li>For attorneys who meet or exceed expectations, realistic total compensation (base + bonus) is typically in the $100,000 &ndash; $150,000 range, with opportunities for growth over time as the role and individual responsibility expand.</li></ul>All standard overhead&mdash;office facilities, staff support, practice management systems, and routine case expenses&mdash;is borne by the firm.About Jones Property LawJones Property Law, PLLC is a niche real estate and property law firm based in Edmond, Oklahoma.
