Job Summary:
The Billing Navigator is responsible for providing a thorough and accurate collection of patient accounts. To provide support for the Community Health Workers (CHWs) as needed in the attainment of stated goals. This contributes to the financial stability of healthcare facilities, allowing them to continue providing quality care to patients. 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Assesses, tracks, and collects patient account balances.</li><li>
Assist in verifying eligibility for billing purposes.</li><li>
Performs insurance and billing functions including verifying patient account information to insurance program specifications.</li><li>
Follow-up on balances due from Payers</li><li>
Ability to understand ICD-9, ICD-10 and CPT coding.</li><li>
6Electronic billing function, process charges, payments denials and adjustments.</li><li>
Performs insurance denial resolution.</li><li>
Works closely with the Community Health Worker (CHW) team to assure accurate and timely billing for Presumptive Medicaid, Newborn pending and Temporary Medicaid for Pregnant Women.</li><li>
Attains all agreed goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic&rsquo;s overall mission.</li><li>
Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.</li><li>
Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.</li><li>

 Job Summary:
The Caf&eacute; Attendant is responsible for preparing foods and drinks in the caf&eacute; daily. The attendant prepares the caf&eacute; for the following business day. The attendant cleans the caf&eacute; while following established health and safety standards at all times.
 Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Prepares sandwiches and drinks for Jordan Valley staff and facility patrons.</li><li>
Maintains the caf&eacute;&rsquo;s cleanliness and safety.</li><li>
Cleans equipment and surrounding area.</li><li>
Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards.</li><li>
Manages the cash flow of the caf&eacute;, including running the register and generating daily usage reports.</li><li>
Manages the inventory of food and beverages at both the caf&eacute; and the breakfast program at Benton facility and other JVH facilities.</li><li>
Keeps track of who is on the breakfast club and coffee club (staff).</li><li>
Must have good money management skills, and be able to count back change.</li><li>
Responsible for sanitation during food preparation.</li></ul>

Job Summary:
Medical Laboratory Technician:
The Medical Laboratory Technician will conduct chemical analysis on lab samples from patients per provider&rsquo;s requests while following protocols required by CLIA, CLSI, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other JVH, state, or Federal regulations.
Medical Laboratory Technologist:
Perform laboratory testing following written policies and procedures ensuring quality laboratory practices in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Laboratory Technician:<ul><li>
Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope and automatic analyzers to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer.</li><li>
Perform calibrations and quality control accurately and efficiently as required. Able to evaluate calibrations and quality control results to determine the accuracy of patient results.</li><li>
Performs and reports on assigned analytical tests in a timely, efficient and accurate manner in compliance with documented laboratory procedures.</li><li>
Recognizes factors that affect measurements and results. Notifies supervisor and takes appropriate action when needed according to predetermined protocols.</li><li>
Performs quality control measures for all testing and ensures results meet established ranges before patient results are released.</li><li>
Examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities.</li><li>
Prepare, reconstitute, and/or dilute reagents, controls, or patient specimens correctly for analysis.</li><li>
Meets deadlines for additional tasks and duties as assigned.</li><li>
Effectively communicates with providers, supervisor or peers by providing information via telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.</li><li>
Sets up, adjusts, maintains and cleans medical laboratory equipment as required.</li><li>
Uses computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to document and record data accurately and precisely.</li><li>
Obtain specimens, cultivating, isolating and identifying microorganisms for analysis.</li><li>
Prepares and sends information to the Health Department any diseases that must be reported.</li><li>
Follow CLIA and OSHA regulations at all times.</li><li>
Maintains a strict level of patient confidentiality.</li><li>
Maintains neat and professional appearance.</li><li>
Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge - Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.</li><li>
Performs phlebotomy skillfully utilizing proper laboratory procedures as outlined by CLSI within minimal discomfort to the patient.</li><li>
Obtains and collects high quality specimens that are appropriate for the ordered laboratory tests.</li><li>
Disinfects laboratory surfaces with daily cleaning.</li><li>
Verifies and records identity of patient using 2 patient identifiers.</li><li>
Correctly labels, processes and properly stores blood and body fluid specimens according to the specimen requirements.</li><li>
Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample.</li><li>
Effectively interacts with patient to minimize the apprehension of the phlebotomy procedure.</li><li>
Communicates the need for additional supplies in order to maintain adequate inventory.</li><li>
Labels and stores blood/body fluids appropriately for subsequent processing.</li></ul> 
Medical Laboratory Technologist:<ul><li>
Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures.</li><li>
Reports test results in a timely manner and according to established laboratory protocol and procedures.</li><li>
Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control and reports discrepancies to the laboratory manager.</li><li>
Performs daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed, maintenance on instruments and equipment as appropriate.</li><li>
Performs calibration of equipment as required.</li><li>
Troubleshoots instruments, equipment, reagents, and patient specimen's when problems occur. Notifies the laboratory manager if unable to solve the problem.</li><li>
Complies with established laboratory and clinic policies for universal precautions and safety procedures. When handling blood and/or body fluids, universal precaution procedures will be followed in order to minimize exposure to infectious diseases. Safety policies and procedures will be followed when using chemicals.</li><li>
Performs phlebotomy (venipunctures, fingersticks) as appropriate for the patient requiring this procedure.</li><li>
When requested, performs duties required for relief in higher classification in supervisor&rsquo;s absence.</li><li>
Performs and reports on assigned analytical tests, including those of moderate complexity on biological specimens in a timely, efficient and accurate manner in compliance with documented laboratory procedures.</li><li>
Recognizes factors that affect measurements and results and takes appropriate action according to predetermined protocols.</li><li>
Responsible for performance of quality control measures for all testing and meets established ranges before patient results are released.</li><li>
Assist with follow-up on rejected interface messages and merging of duplicate charts.</li><li>
Assist with printing monthly reports and entering data into various QA programs, TAT&rsquo;s and productivity reports.</li><li>
Knows the formal and informal department goals, standards, policies, and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments within Jordan Valley Community Health Center.</li><li>
Attends various meetings regarding safety and quality control issues to keep informed of current lab and health center safety policies.</li><li>
Assist with ordering/maintaining supplies, lab schedule, and completing MLT and/or Phlebotomy competencies.</li></ul>

 Associate Degree of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology or Associate of Arts Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.</li><li>

Two years related work experience preferred.</li><li>
Additional education may be substituted for year&rsquo;s experience.</li><li>
Medical Laboratory Technician certification required, preferably ASCP.</li></ul>
 Medical Laboratory Technologist:

Required Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree.</li><li>
