<div>The Senior Buyer of Food Products is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing food inventory to meet the organization&rsquo;s quality, cost, and delivery standards. This role requires a keen understanding of the food industry, supply chain management, and vendor relations to ensure the consistent availability of high-quality food products. 


Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:
<ul><li>Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for food products.</li><li>
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.</li><li>
Stay informed about market trends, seasonal product availability, and emerging food products.</li></ul>
</li><li>Inventory Management:
<ul><li>Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing waste.</li><li>
Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to optimize storage and reduce spoilage.</li><li>
Forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.</li></ul>
</li><li>Vendor Relationships:
<ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.</li><li>
Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure vendor compliance with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.</li><li>
Resolve disputes or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.</li></ul>
</li><li>Quality Assurance:
<ul><li>Ensure all food products meet company and regulatory quality standards.</li><li>
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to inspect and evaluate incoming products.</li><li>
Stay updated on food safety regulations and certifications.</li></ul>
</li><li>Forecasting:
<ul><li>Analyze historical data, market trends, and sales patterns to predict future demand.</li><li>
Develop and implement purchasing strategies based on forecasted needs.</li><li>
Work closely with other departments to align forecasts with operational goals.</li></ul>
</li><li>Other responsibilities.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. (Required)</li><li>
Minimum of 5 years of experience in food purchasing or procurement.</li><li>
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards (Preferable)</li></ul>
