 We are seeking an In-House Recruiter with experience in the construction and/or civil engineering industries. The recruiter will be responsible for sourcing and selecting candidates for blue collar site based roles. They report to the Recuitment Lead and work in conjunction with the Labour Management team to understand the resourcing requirements and deliver appropriately skilled labour to our projects in a timely manner, ensuring an efficient service is provided to both the business and to candidates

 The recruiter will be responsible for:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Liaising with Labour Managers to understand where there are gaps that require labour recruiting externally.
 </li>
 <li>
 Managing a range of vacancies, creating vacancies in the ATS system, ensuring job descriptions are available and representative of the roles, advertising roles via the JGL careers page, job boards and through social media.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilising LinkedIn and other tools to actively source candidates for niche roles.
 </li>
 <li>
 Pre-registering and screening of applicants, sifting CVs, telephone screening where appropriate and providing a shortlist of candidates to the recruiting managers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Managing candidates, including arranging interviews and feeding back.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conveying offers, ensuring the correct approvals are in place for the salaries or rates offered
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensuring the HR Administrator is provided with the information to raise contracts for new hires and that candidates and line managers provide the right paperwork for them to be processed onto payroll efficiently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Building and maintaining a database of appropriately skilled candidates

 To be successful in this position you must have recruitment experience in the Construction or Civil Engineering Industry, either gained in-house or with an agency.

As the TBM Operator, you will be required to:
Oversee a successful TBM drive, through the correct planning and effective management of change. The role requires experience of assembling, maintaining and operating complex tunnel boring systems. Ensuring the tunnel is delivered to the correct quality and specification and without any safety issues.
On a day to day basis you will be:<ul><li>
Checking plans and drawings for works being carried out.</li><li>
Reviewing site surveys &amp; documentation.</li><li>
Mobilising Systems to the required functional and safe layouts</li><li>
Setting out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis</li><li>
Using detailed knowledge of both Herrenknecht and Iseki tunnel boring machines to ensure machines are correctly assembled and set up on site, as well as disassembled at the end of projects.</li><li>
Carrying out relevant inspections of the TBM equipment to ensure it remains at the optimal standard to ensure quality of the drive and safety of the team.</li><li>
Monitoring the line and grade of the tunnel to ensure alignment remains within tolerances described in project plans and specifications</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of jacking operations as per company forms</li><li>
Participate in operations meetings, and proving input into daily reports Maintain optimum levels of safety, ensuring our LIFE culture is upheld at all stages of the works.</li><li>
Monitoring of the excavation material and the slurry and lubrication systems</li><li>
Providing engineering support to ensure any technical problems are overcome</li><li>
Ensuring that quality control requirements are monitored, met, and recorded in accordance with Client specification</li></ul>
To be successful in the role you will have:<ul><li>
Solid experience working on Civil Engineering Projects including major tunnelling projects.</li><li>
Proven specialised experience operating Herrenknecht or Iseki microtunnel boring systems with experience of working in variable ground conditions.</li><li>
Detailed working mechanical knowledge of both Herrenknecht and Iseki machines including site assembly, maintenance and disassembly</li><li>
A sound knowledge of construction methods, Health &amp; Safety and legal regulations in relation to the civil engineering industry</li><li>
High level of technical expertise; demonstrated through problem solving, applying professional judgment, and competent performance</li><li>
Proven troubleshooting skills</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site-based team and Clients</li><li>
The ability to work effectively as part of a team</li></ul></div>
