<div>The Medical Support Assistant is a medical administrative assistant who provides procedure scheduling and administrative support while traveling between our Riverview and Tampa, Florida locations with an assigned Physician. This is a non-technical, administrative role. 


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Coordinates Physician&rsquo;s office schedule to maximize efficiency and keep Provider on task.</li>
<li>Communicates effectively and flexibly responds to changing demands to ensure smooth workflow and continuity of appointments.</li>
<li>Triages telephone messages and returns calls to provide prompt answers to callers.</li>
<li>Collaborates effectively with patients and staff at all levels.</li>
<li>Rooms, interviews, and safely transports patients via wheelchair.</li>
<li>Coordinates and schedules injections, procedures, and follow up appointments as designated by physician.</li>
<li>Maintains files and patient records in a confidential manner consistent with HIPAA rules.</li>
<li>Performs other administrative, non-clinical duties as directed or assigned.</li></ul> 


QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma</li>
<li>Minimum of 2 (two) years&rsquo; experience in a medical office with surgical scheduling experience preferred</li>
<li>Highly organized, multitasks with sense of urgency, utilizes good judgment, and strong problem solver</li>
<li>Able to reliably travel between Riverview and Tampa, FL offices as clinic schedule dictates</li>
<li>Provides superior patient care, exceptional customer service, and practices professional email, telephone etiquette, and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff</li></ul> 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Ability to safely push and maneuver occupied wheelchairs up to 75 pounds of force.</li>
<li>Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.</li>
<li>Able to spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk while working on a computer, standing, walking, and navigating hallways, elevators, and outdoor walkways.</li></ul>
