<b>Job Summary:</b><br>
The Addiction Specialist Physician will provide direct clinical care at the Tarrant County Jail to individuals with substance use disorders, primarily opioid use disorder, as part of a comprehensive jail-based Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. This role is critical in supporting recovery, reducing recidivism, and improving health outcomes for justice-involved individuals.<br>

<b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b><br>
<br>
1. Coordinates and delivers evidence-based addiction treatment services, including MAT, within the correctional setting.<br>
2. Conducts assessments, diagnoses substance use disorders and develops individualized treatment plans.<br>
3. Prescribes and monitors FDA-approved medications for substance use disorders.<br>
4. Ensures care delivery aligns with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group guidelines.<br>
5. Provides evidence-based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.<br>
6. Demonstrates patient-centered and value-driven behavior.<br>
7. Collaborates with referring physicians, residents, clinical, and support staff to ensure high-quality care.<br>
8. Supports academic, educational and research initiatives, providing ample opportunities for professional growth and development.<br>
9. Participates in Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committees.<br>
10. Build positive relationships with staff, partners, patients, and the community to enhance the JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group experience, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.<br>
11. Serves as a community resource.<br>
12. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.<br>

<b>Position-Specific Details:</b><br>
<ul><li>Provider Schedule: 20 hours/week</li><li>Call Schedule: None</li></ul><br>
<b>
Qualifications:</b><br>
<ul><li>Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.</li><li>Successfully completed an accredited residency program</li><li>Board eligible in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry</li></ul><br>
