Job Purpose:
Are you a hands-on learner who enjoys solving problems and helping people? Join our team as a Parts Department Intern and get real-world experience in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You&rsquo;ll learn how a parts department runs&mdash;from helping customers to organizing inventory and supporting our service team. We welcome motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Compensation: $15.00-$20.00 / Hour (Depending on Experience)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Honor Commitments:<ul><li>
Process orders and keep customers updated on delivery status.</li><li>
Help technicians find the parts they need to fix vehicles, ensuring the service team's commitment to vehicle completion is supported.</li><li>
Count and organize parts to keep inventory accurate, ensuring parts availability promises can be kept.</li></ul>
Create Positive Experiences:<ul><li>
Greet customers with a smile and assist them in finding the right parts.</li><li>
Answer questions in person or by phone clearly and courteously.</li><li>
Share pricing, promotions, and helpful suggestions with customers.</li></ul>
Foster Life-long Learning:<ul><li>
Learn how to use inventory software.</li><li>
Shadow experienced team members.</li><li>
Take on new tasks as you grow in the role.</li></ul>
Exhibit a Pioneering Spirit:<ul><li>
Assist with returning unused parts to vendors, suggesting improvements to the return process.</li><li>
Take on new tasks as you grow, showing willingness to embrace challenges outside the initial scope.</li></ul>
Demonstrate Good Stewardship:<ul><li>
Keep the shop stocked and organized.</li><li>
Keep shelves neat and the workspace clean, protecting assets and minimizing clutter.</li></ul>
Other Duties as Assigned:<ul><li>
Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting objectives.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
Currently in high school or working toward a GED</li><li>
Friendly and willing to learn</li><li>
Comfortable using a computer</li><li>
Able to lift up to 75 lbs</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Forklift experience is a plus (but not required)</li><li>
Interest in cars, trucks, or how things work is a bonus</li></ul>
