We partner with school districts, individual schools, and families directly through our website to provide high-quality online tutoring. We are currently prioritizing tutors who can support 2nd and 3rd grade reading and phonics instruction with availability between 10am-6pm Eastern. Tutors will work with students in small-group format in a virtual setting.Please note: There is no guaranteed minimum number of sessions, and availability may vary. To apply, fill out interest form at this link https://tutoring.k12.com/become-a-tutor/ and indicate your experience with elementary reading We are currently looking for tutors with the following qualifications:<ul><li>Experience working with students in Elementary Reading</li><li>Proficiency in 2nd and 3rd grade reading instruction preferred</li><li>Grades 1-5 with science of reading training preferred</li><li>Daytime availability 10 am &ndash; 6 pm EST preferred</li><li>Online teaching experience preferred</li><li>English Language Learners (ELL) experience preferred</li><li>Experience using formative assessments to track student progress preferred</li></ul>To be considered:<ul><li>You must be a teacher with an&#8239;active state teacher certification</li><li>Pass a criminal background check</li><li>Demonstrate mastery of the platform tools</li><li>Live in the United States or US territories</li></ul>Once you're accepted:<ul><li>Complete a K12 Tutoring training course</li><li>Create your tutor profile</li><li>Set your availability</li><li>List the courses you're qualified to tutor</li><li>Comply with community guidelines</li></ul>Once onboarding steps are successfully completed, you can start receiving student bookings in either 1-on-1 or small group formats.
