We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Environmental Construction Manager to join our team at K&amp;A Engineering in Cincinnati, OH (Southern Ohio) In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Responsibilities and Duties:
<ul><li>Subject Matter Expert in the following areas
</li></ul><ul><li>Transmission Line Construction/Sequence
</li></ul><ul><li>Environmental Compliance to support T Line Construction
</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in interpreting Transmission Line drawings
</li></ul><ul><li>Identify and assist in the preliminary design of sedimentation &amp; erosion controls for construction projects
</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in constructability reviews for Environmental compliance at 30% design
</li></ul><ul><li>Perform and document EH&amp;S (Environmental Health &amp; Safety) safety audits to ensure contractors are compliant with Duke Energy safe work practices.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure pre-job briefings or observations are being effectively used
</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor crew productivity.
</li></ul><ul><li>Validate crew timesheets for T&amp;E (Time &amp; Equipment) work upon request
</li></ul><ul><li>Report all safety and environmental incidents immediately to local Duke Energy representative per Duke Energy safe work practices
</li></ul><ul><li>Perform and document on-going QA inspections during construction to ensure job specifications are being met
</li></ul><ul><li>Validate units completed for invoicing
</li></ul><ul><li>Support project documentation and as-built drawings are completed and submitted to the correct departments
</li></ul><ul><li>Provide feedback on contractor performance
</li></ul><ul><li>Provide status reports as needed
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure coordination of outages with customer, contractor, local operating personnel and System Controlling Authority
</li></ul><ul><li>Constantly evaluates risk present in projects assigned
</li></ul><ul><li>May be responsible for managing multiple projects
</li></ul>Qualifications and Required Skills:
<ul><li>Prior knowledge or experience in a Transmission Construction and/or Maintenance organization
</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to the position (NERC, EPC, State utility regulators, etc.)
</li></ul><ul><li>Working knowledge of Resource/Work Management principles
</li></ul><ul><li>Working knowledge of workforce resourcing and contract administration
</li></ul><ul><li>Experience performing H&amp;S safety observations
</li></ul>Pay Range $52-57 hour depending on experience
