The Purchasing Agent will play a key role in supporting our production operations by sourcing materials and services, building supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services to identify the most reliable and cost-effective options</li><li>
Select suppliers based on product quality, reliability, and price</li><li>
Collaberate with the Inventory Specialist to determine purchasing needs</li><li>
Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers</li><li>
Place orders with suppliers and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery</li><li>
Verify receipt of items by comparing delivered goods to purchase orders</li><li>
Resolve shipment discrepancies or errors with suppliers</li><li>
Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role</li><li>
Background in fabrication production or commercial truck dealership a plus</li><li>
Strong research, negotiation, and communication skills</li><li>
Strong working background in ERP system and Microsoft Office</li><li>
Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues with suppliers</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams</li></ul>
