Job Summary:
The Law Clerk provides legal research, document drafting, and case file support to attorneys and program leadership. This role assists with preparing legal memoranda, reviewing case documents for accuracy and completeness, and supporting litigation and administrative processes in alignment with federal requirements and contract specifications.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Conduct legal research and summarize case law, regulations, and precedent
</li><li>Draft memoranda, briefs, correspondence, and case summaries for attorney review
</li><li>Review legal records and filings for completeness and compliance
</li><li>Assist with discovery activities, document requests, and trial preparation
</li><li>Maintain accurate case documentation and version control
</li><li>Coordinate with attorneys and government personnel to gather required information
</li><li>Track deadlines, case milestones, and court or agency schedules
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Skills:
<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) or current enrollment in an accredited law program required
</li><li>Experience supporting litigation or government legal programs preferred
</li><li>Strong legal research and analytical writing skills
</li><li>Familiarity with Westlaw, LexisNexis, or comparable research databases
</li><li>Ability to interpret federal regulations, case law, and legal documents
</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF document tools

Job Summary:
Supports the DOJ Asset Forfeiture Administrative Support Services (AFASS) Program by performing quality control and reconciliation of computer databases containing financial and compliance records. This position contributes to financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in support of the program&rsquo;s mission.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Conduct quality control and reconciliation of financial and compliance databases.
</li><li>Review accounting practices for compliance with federal laws, regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices (GAGAS), and applicable Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars.
</li><li>Analyze annual financial statements to ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and programmatic requirements.
</li><li>Identify improper or illegal expenditures and recommend corrective actions.
</li><li>Evaluate logistics and operations of the audit and certification programs to improve efficiency.
</li><li>Draft budget requests for office operations.
</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support financial program objectives.
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Skills:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; OR High school diploma/GED with a minimum of four years of related experience.
</li><li>General knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial systems/databases.
</li><li>Strong attention to detail with meticulous data entry accuracy.
</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.
</li><li>Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.

Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst provides analytical, research, and reporting support to the Asset Forfeiture Program, evaluating financial data, trends, transactions, and case-related documentation to support investigations, budget forecasting, financial accountability, and program performance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Analyze financial documents, accounting statements, bank records, and transaction histories for investigative or compliance purposes.
</li><li>Develop spreadsheets, charts, exhibits, and financial models in support of program reporting and litigation activities.
</li><li>Review and validate financial information for accuracy, discrepancies, and potential fraud indicators.
</li><li>Prepare summaries of findings, audit packets, reports, and presentations for investigators and legal staff.
 </li><li>Assist in developing budget projections, cost estimates, forecasts, and burn rate analysis for program operations.
 </li><li>Research and document financial patterns related to asset movements, case expenditures, and seized asset valuations.
</li><li>Maintain financial tracking files and audit support documents in accordance with federal guidelines.
 </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Skills:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
</li><li>Two (2) or more years of experience in financial analysis, auditing, accounting, or equivalent analytical work.
</li><li>Experience working with financial data, ledgers, or transactional reporting systems.
</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
</li><li>Knowledge of financial reporting, spreadsheet modeling, and accounting principles.
</li><li>Skill in identifying financial anomalies, patterns, or irregularities.
</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
</li><li>Ability to work with investigators, attorneys, and leadership in a federal law enforcement environment.
