Summary of Functions
 To provide day-to-day supervision, direction and leadership to all Front Office team members and supervisors; to represent the position of Front Office Manager when appropriate. Provides the department with leadership, whereby they achieve results in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards established by Northern Quest Resort and Casino. Ensure Northern Quest Resort and Casino’s Core Values and Core Purpose are exercised daily.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 <ul>
<li>Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Internal Controls and Northern Quest Resort and Casino Policies and Procedures.</li>
<li>Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal and NIGC regulations and ensure an adequate internal control system is in place.</li>
<li>Works directly with the Front Office Manager and the reservation system availability to ensure maximum revenue generation, while not turning rooms away in a low occupancy period.</li>
<li>In conjunction with the Front Office Manager establish recommended applicable rates and other restrictive conditions far in advance to the dates in question.</li>
<li>Monitoring inventory to third-party vendors for rooms sales on the world wide web (GDS).</li>
<li>Work closely with the Director of Loyalty Marketing to host player’s club programs.</li>
<li>Create leisure packages which contain components of resort amenities in conjunction with the Front Office Manager and Revenue Manager.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.</li>
<li>Ensure control/protection of company assets.</li>
<li>Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to maximize revenue growth and efficiencies within the Reservation Department.</li>
<li>Supervises PBX /Reservations Supervisors, Group Coordinator, and Front Desk Supervisors.</li>
<li>Staff with the Reservations Department according to call volume and the Front Desk Department according to arrivals and departures ensure the accuracy and timely submittal of the department’s work schedules.</li>
<li>Conduct interviews, reviews, and disciplinary action as necessary.</li>
<li>Works closely with the Direct of Sales, Group Coordinator, and Sales Managers to control group blocks.</li>
<li>Familiar with all yield management principles.</li>
<li>Disseminate special request information to appropriate departments.</li>
<li>Ensure that all new and existing Agents are being supervised by scripted techniques.</li>
<li>Ensure properly trained team members are present to service the guest, and that the necessary timely performance of hotel interrelated functions is expeditiously completed.</li>
<li>Monitors the selling technique of the team members and implements/follows-through with corrective measures.</li>
<li>Design and maintain an Up-Sell Program</li>
<li>Daily and weekly payroll monitoring to ensure maximum productivity and service, while staying within budgetary guidelines.</li>
<li>Completes all dates/prioritized goals and objectives in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.</li>
<li>Assists in developing office budget and initiates cost reduction programs.</li>
<li>The Ensures department presents a friendly, professional, non-rushed approach when answering phones and working with guests.</li>
<li>Assume responsibility for hotel master keys.</li>
<li>At the beginning of the shift, familiarize self with the following:</li>
<li>Room situation in the hotel</li>
<li>Staff for day’s arrival/departures</li>
<li>VIP arrivals & departures</li>
<li>Meet with Front Desk Supervisors and discuss:</li>
<li>Inventory strategy</li>
<li>VIP/Pre-registration/Tour</li>
<li>Group arrivals/departures</li>
<li>The day’s activities, special projects, and items to be conveyed to the Front Office Team Members</li>
<li>Follow and enforce proper cash handling procedures.</li>
<li>Review Credit Report and act on appropriate accounts.</li>
<li>Ensure that the computer system is monitored and follow through on any corrections necessary with Date Processing and the night audit process.</li>
<li>Adhere to department, AAA and Forbes standards</li>
<li>Create a four-diamond / four-star image and promote goodwill for Northern Quest Resort and Casino.</li>
<li>Ensures all guarantees, advance deposits, cancellations, and waitlists are handled according to Front Office Department procedures.</li>
<li>Deals with guest complaints/requests expeditiously when approached.</li>
<li>Performs daily tours of the areas of responsibility to ensure professional appearance, cleanliness, and saleable presentation is well maintained.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable of all gaming amenities and terminology.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Camas Club procedures.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable packages, rates, and promotions resort wide.</li>
<li>Has full knowledge of the Property Management System and all reports it generates.</li>
<li>Has a full knowledge of the Casino Management System to the extent of user access.</li>
<li>Is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures, fire alarm operations, and can take charge in an emergency, if needed.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable of all federal and local laws as they relate to and govern the operation of the hotel.</li>
<li>Advises the Front Office Manager and protects against any liability possibilities.</li>
<li>Ensures that OSHA regulations are complied with within the department and/or division.</li>

Supervisory Responsibilities
 Directly manages 5-7 supervisors in the Front Office areas. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing team member complaints and resolving problems.
 Experience
 <ul>
<li>Six years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Experience in a 150+ room with four star/four diamond hotel is a plus.</li>
</ul>
Skills & Abilities
 <ul>
<li>Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li>
<li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</li>

Hotel Front Office - Front Desk - Reservations Manager

Summary of Functions
 
The Dental Assistant will support the dental team through clinical and clerical assistance for patients of all ages in a rural setting.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
<ul>
<li>Provide quality dental assisting duties in a dependable, responsible, safe and caring manner; take and develop x-rays as directed.</li>
<li>Electronically document patient visits, telephone contacts and treatments no less than 24 hours following each patient visit. Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist. Maintain records in compliance with professional, federal, and other applicable guidelines; assure compliance with accrediting agencies and with organizational policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Store dental instruments, supplies, materials and procedure set ups in the assigned area when not in use.</li>
<li>Keep assigned clinic areas properly stocked with all necessary supplies, materials and instruments at all times.</li>
<li>Order dental supplies and materials; maintain inventory. Order office supplies, maintain stock room inventory.</li>
<li>Maintain assigned clinic areas in a clean, orderly and aseptic condition.</li>
<li>Promptly remove used material and debris and prepare operatory to receive next patient.</li>
<li>Provide routine maintenance on all dental equipment including weekly monitoring and disinfection of delivery systems.</li>
<li>Inform supervisor or designee concerning needed repairs or adjustments of equipment in the clinic.</li>
<li>Promptly greet and seat dental patients in a friendly manner.</li>
<li>Assist in preparing for dental procedure.</li>
<li>Display a professional demeanor when interacting with patients and other clinic staff.</li>
<li>Promptly schedule patients for delivery of completed cases.</li>

Dental Assistant

Summary of Functions and Purpose
 
Provides fire prevention and suppression, emergency medical services, rescue, disaster response, and hazardous material mitigation for the purpose of saving lives and protecting property. This position also supports a wide range of department programs as assigned.
 
Reporting Relationships
 
The Firefighter is assigned a work schedule determined by the Department and reports directly to the Assistant Chief. The Assistant Chief guides the daily work of the firefighter, with the Chief setting overall work priorities and conducting performance evaluations in consultation with the Assistant Chief.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 The Firefighter performs a combination of emergency and non-emergency duties as follows:
 A. Emergency Duties
 <ul>
<li>Responds to a wide variety of fire incidents such as brush fires, vehicle fire and structure fires.</li>
<li>Responds to a wide variety of emergency medical incidents. Provides medical care to patients consistent with EMS training and certification.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents requiring special operations and assist consistent with the level of training as determined by the department.</li>
</ul>
Non-Emergency duties
 <ul>
<li>Conducts equipment, facility, and apparatus inspections to ensure safety and response readiness.</li>
<li>Assists with supervision, training, development of volunteer department personnel.</li>
<li>Assists with coordinating mutual fire protection plans, emergency response, and other department activities with surrounding jurisdictions, other departments, and organizations as assigned.</li>
<li>Can instruct First Aid/CPR classes through KTFD to public.</li>
<li>Assists with coordinating and preparing a variety of plans, reports, presentations, and records.</li>
<li>Assists with control issue of occupancy permits and similar licenses.</li>
<li>Participates in Department/Tribal sponsored public events or activities.</li>

Supervisory Responsibilities
 
This position supervises probationary firefighters and assists with volunteer firefighters’ program.
 
Qualifications
 
<ul>
<li>Basic knowledge of the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and the reservation.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license and be eligible for automobile insurance.</li>
<li>Must be able to pass a Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) background check.</li>
<li>Must successfully pass drug screening and Tribal Gaming Agency Level III background investigation.</li>
<li>Current ACLS and PALS, or PALS equivalent, satisfactory to the department</li>
<li>IFSAC Firefighter I certification, or equivalent, satisfactory to the department</li>
<li>IFSAC Hazmat Awareness certification, or equivalent, satisfactory to the department</li>
<li>Currently certified as a Washington State EMT-P</li>
</ul>
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
 
<ul>
<li>Certified Firefighter I (IFSAC or State Equivalent) HAZMAT Awareness. Preference will be given to Firefighter II and HAZMAT Operations</li>
<li>Current Certification as Washington State EMT</li>
<li>Current Wildland Firefighter II or obtain within 30 days of employment</li>
<li>ICS 100 and 200, NIMS 700 and 800</li>

Firefighters Physical Agility Testing Requirements: The candidate will wear 45lb vest to simulate the weight of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Throughout all events, you must wear long pants, fire helmet with chin strap, work gloves, and footwear with no open heel or toe. Watches and loose or restrictive jewelry are not permitted.
 
What is the sequence of events?
 <ul>
<li>Stair Climb – Ascend a flight of stairs with a Hotel Pack on the shoulder, set it down. Return the Hotel Back descending the flight of stairs</li>
<li>Tool Raise and Lower – Raise a tool attached to a rope to the second story, hand over hand, then return the tool back to the first-floor hand over hand.</li>
<li>Hose Drag – Deploy 100 feet of 1.5-inch hose line. Open the nozzle and spray for 1 minute.</li>
<li>Equipment Carry – Carry extrication spreaders 50 feet, set down then return the tool back to the engine</li>
<li>Ladder Raise and Extension - Remove a 24’ ladder from the engine, carry 50 feet, set and raise. The candidate will then lower the ladder and return it to the engine.</li>
<li>Rescue Drag – Drag rescue manakin 50 feet. The use of webbing is permitted.</li>
<li>Ventilation – Using a large tire and sledgehammer, the candidate must strike the tire 25 times in 45 seconds.</li>
<li>Arduous Task – Carrying a 45 pound vest, you must walk 3 miles in 45 minutes (conducting after hiring, must pass annually)</li>
