<div>Position Overview:
Kamran Culinex, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and materials. This role plays a key part in maintaining supply chain efficiency and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors.</li><li>Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs and maintain quality standards.</li><li>Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse or operations teams to prevent stock shortages or overages.</li><li>Track orders and ensure timely delivery; resolve any supply issues or discrepancies.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor performance, and inventory.</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications.</li><li>Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and new products to support strategic sourcing decisions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procurement policies.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>2+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in [insert relevant industry, e.g., foodservice, manufacturing, etc.].</li><li>Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software (e.g., ERP systems).</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with NetSuite.</li><li>Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPP, CPSM) is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with sustainability or cost-saving procurement strategies.</li></ul>
