Job PurposeThe Senior Diesel Mechanic is responsible for leading and executing advanced maintenance, diagnostics, and repair works on diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to ensure maximum equipment uptime while maintaining high safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities Maintenance &amp; Repair<ul><li>Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, heavy vehicles, and construction equipment.</li><li>Overhaul engines, gearboxes, differentials, fuel systems, braking systems, and hydraulic components.</li><li>Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per manufacturer recommendations and company schedules.</li><li>Identify recurring faults and recommend permanent corrective solutions.</li></ul>Supervision &amp; Technical Leadership<ul><li>Supervise and guide junior mechanics and helpers on repair methods and safety practices.</li><li>Allocate daily tasks and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.</li><li>Provide on-the-job training and technical support to team members.</li><li>Inspect completed jobs to ensure quality and compliance with standards.</li></ul>Diagnostics &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Use diagnostic tools and software to identify complex mechanical and electronic faults.</li><li>Prepare job cards, maintenance reports, inspection checklists, and breakdown analysis.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of spare parts usage and maintenance history.</li></ul>Fleet &amp; Equipment Management<ul><li>Ensure maximum availability and reliability of fleet and equipment.</li><li>Coordinate with stores and procurement for spare parts and consumables.</li><li>Advise management on equipment condition, repair vs. replacement decisions, and cost optimization.</li></ul>Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE regulations and company safety policies.</li><li>Enforce proper use of PPE and safe working procedures in the workshop and on-site.</li><li>Maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop area.</li><li>Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>ITI / Diploma in Diesel Mechanics / Automotive / Heavy Equipment Maintenance or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 5&ndash;8 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.</li><li>Strong experience with heavy vehicles, generators, construction machinery, and diesel engines.</li><li>Proven expertise in diagnostics, overhauling, and preventive maintenance.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills.</li><li>Leadership and team supervision abilities.</li><li>Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and service bulletins.</li><li>Good communication and reporting skills.</li><li>Physically fit and able to work in workshop and site environments.</li><li>Willing to work flexible hours and attend emergency breakdowns.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
