The Kaniksu Community Health Kid's Club provides affordable on-site childcare to the children of our team members. Our Kid's Club, which is housed in a newly opened, purpose built, state of the art building, provides a fun, safe, nurturing environment where children between the ages of 0-5years are encouraged to learn and develop key skills through play based activities. At Kaniksu Community Health, we are proud to have built a positive and engaged team with a &quot;family&quot; spirit. Our team of dedicated Childcare teachers provide a child centric approach to care in accordance with appropriate Idaho state provider: child ratio requirements.

As a Childcare Teacher - Toddler Room at the KCH Kid's Club, a typical day may include:
<ul><li>Provide basic needs for children</li><li>
Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities</li><li>
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children</li><li>
Develop and maintain positive communication and relationships with children and parents</li><li>
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom</li><li>
Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills</li><li>
Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times</li><li>
Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies</li><li>
Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and art project activities</li><li>
First aid: must have a good knowledge of child safety requirements and be up-to-date on first aid protocol.</li><li>
Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms</li></ul>
Experience Needed to Land this Gig:
<ul><li>High School or equivalent required</li><li>
At least one year childcare experience preferred, however not essential &ndash; full training will be provided</li><li>
Ability to foster a fun and safe classroom environment conducive to learning</li><li>
Basic understanding of child behavior and learning patterns</li><li>
Ability to work with children and remain friendly, calm, and patient at all times</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Good analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Ability to set rules and guidelines for children to follow</li><li>
Solid organizational skills and ability to maintain a tidy and neat classroom</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>Able to lift minimum of 30lbs regularly</li><li>
The ability to be able to get up and down from the floor frequently</li></ul>
Please note: This position will require a state and federal background check to be completed and registration with Idaho STARS. 
Work Schedule:
Full Time
Monday to Friday - 1.00pm to 6.30pm</div>
