We are currently seeking a skilled Wordpress Developer to join our dynamic team as a 1099 contractor.Job Summary: As a 1099 Wordpress Developer at KAPCOM, LLC, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of our internal websites as well as those of our clients on a case-by-case basis. You will work closely with our design and development teams to create, customize, and optimize WordPress websites, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, security, and responsiveness.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain WordPress websites for both internal and client use.</li><li>Install, customize, and develop themes and plugins to meet specific needs.</li><li>Utilize front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) to create engaging and responsive web pages.</li><li>Work with PHP and MySQL for back-end development and database management.</li><li>Implement version control using Git to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.</li><li>Optimize website performance to ensure fast load times and a seamless user experience across all devices.</li><li>Adhere to security best practices to protect websites from vulnerabilities and threats.</li><li>Collaborate with designers, clients, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest WordPress developments, trends, and best practices.</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Proficient in WordPress core functionality, including theme and plugin installation, customization, and development.</li><li>Experience optimizing website performance and ensuring responsiveness across different devices.</li><li>Familiarity with Cloudflare for website security and performance enhancement.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Proven experience building and maintaining WordPress websites.</li><li>Experience with custom theme development is a plus.</li><li>Experience with creating custom plugins is a strong plus.</li><li>Experience with security best practices for WordPress development.</li></ul>Soft Skills:<ul><li>Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with designers, clients, and other developers.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.</li></ul>What We Offer:<ul><li>Competitive hourly rate or project-based compensation.</li><li>Flexible working hours and remote work environment.</li><li>Opportunity to work with a talented and passionate team.</li><li>Potential for ongoing contract work based on performance and project needs.</li></ul>Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hourApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Are you a U.S. Citizen?</li><li>Please confirm the rate is acceptable to you. </li></ul>Work Location: Remote
