The Senior Manager is a leadership role within the Energy Market Insights (EMI) department, responsible for shaping key deliverables, ensuring analytical excellence, and managing cross-functional coordination. Senior Managers help translate institutional priorities into EMI outputs and oversee the execution of complex and time-sensitive projects. They are also expected to directly contribute to strategic analyses, quality assurance, and team development.

Major Accountabilities

1. Market Analysis &amp; Insights
<ul>
<li>Lead the development of high-impact deliverables that synthesize market trends, data, and stakeholder needs.</li>
<li>Drive alignment of outputs with institutional themes and stakeholder expectations.</li>
<li>Provide critical review and sign-off on deliverables from junior staff and Managers.</li>
<li>Guide scenario design, modeling assumptions, and analytical frameworks.</li>
<li>Ensure consistency, insightfulness, and clarity in EMI narratives.</li>
</ul>
2. Collaboration &amp; Communication
<ul>
<li>Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders on key deliverables.</li>
<li>Coordinate across EMI workstreams and with other departments as required.</li>
<li>Represent EMI in meetings and briefings with senior internal counterparts.</li>
<li>Support the Executive Director and Principals in high-level planning and tasking.</li>
<li>Lead synthesis and framing of presentations and talking points.</li>

3. Learning &amp; Growth

<li>Mentor junior team members and contribute to skills development pathways.</li>
<li>Help embed a culture of rigor, collaboration, and curiosity.</li>

Qualifications and Experience

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or any other related field</li>
<li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or any other related field</li>
<li>PhD degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or any other related field</li>
<li>Prior experience of working in a consulting capacity is a must.</li>
<li>Experience in the energy sector and/or public policy is preferred.</li>

Senior Manager - Energy Market Insights

The Senior Principal provides intellectual and strategic leadership to the Energy Market Insights (EMI) department. They are responsible for setting analytical priorities, managing high-level stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that EMI delivers timely, relevant, and high-quality outputs. In addition to guiding the department&rsquo;s content direction, the Senior Principal mentors senior staff, drives innovation, and ensures EMI evolves to meet changing stakeholder needs.

Major Accountabilities

1. Market Analysis &amp; Insights

<li>Define priority themes and outputs in alignment with institutional direction and stakeholder needs.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Provide intellectual oversight for flagship reports, scenario development, and cross-cutting analyses.</li>
<li>Ensure analytical rigor, relevance, and timeliness across all EMI outputs.</li>
<li>Help translate complex market signals into actionable insights.</li>

<li>Act as a senior liaison between EMI and executive stakeholders.</li>
<li>Represent EMI in strategic discussions and cross-departmental coordination.</li>
<li>Oversee tasking and quality assurance processes in collaboration with the ED.</li>
