About the role</b></div><p>
We are seeking a <b>Senior Data Analyst</b> to be the foundational member of Karoo&rsquo;s analytics team. You will work across clinical, operations, product, and leadership teams to deliver clear, actionable insights that drive both patient outcomes and business performance.</p><p>
This is a hands-on role focused on turning data into impact: developing dashboards, metrics, and analyses that give visibility into performance, uncover opportunities for improvement, and inform strategic decisions. You&rsquo;ll partner closely with technical teammates who manage infrastructure and data pipelines, ensuring that the data you analyze is reliable, accurate, and ready for interpretation.</p><div></div><div><b><br>
What you'll do</b></div><ul><li>
Build and maintain <b>dashboards, reports, and self-service tools</b> that provide visibility into clinical, operational, and business performance.</li><li>
Partner with leadership to define <b>key metrics and KPIs</b> and ensure they are consistently measured and reported.</li><li>
Perform <b>deep-dive analyses</b> to uncover insights on patient populations, provider performance, care management programs, and payer reporting.</li><li>
Translate complex datasets into <b>clear, compelling insights</b> for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li><b>
Collaborate with data engineers and product/tech teams</b> to ensure data sources are accurate, well-structured, and accessible.</li><li>
Proactively identify opportunities for <b>data-driven improvements </b>in care delivery, operations, and financial performance.</li><li>
Contribute to building a <b>culture of data-driven decision-making</b> across the company.</li></ul><div><b>
Qualifications</b></div><ul><li>
4 &ndash; 7+ years of experience in data analytics, in healthcare, healthtech, or related industries.</li><li>
Strong <b>proficiency with SQL and BI platforms</b> (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, or similar).</li><li>
Experience <b>analyzing data from multiple sources</b>, such as claims, EHR, CRM, and operational systems.</li><li>
Ability to <b>structure ambiguous problems and translate them</b> into clear analyses and recommendations.</li><li>
Excellent <b>communication skills</b>, with the ability to influence stakeholders through data storytelling.</li><li>
Comfort working in a <b>fast-paced, early-stage startup environment,</b> where priorities shift and structure is still evolving.</li></ul><div><b>
Nice to Have:</b></div><ul><li>
Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and payer &amp; provider reporting requirements.</li><li>
Proficiency in Python, R, or other scripting languages for advanced analysis.</li><li>
Experience supporting <b>value-based care models</b> and payer &amp; provider partnerships.</li><li>
Experience with complex data warehouses, analytics pipelines, and cloud computing.</li></ul><div><b>
