Performs a variety of routine and specialized cleaning of the sterile areas and associated surgery related areas. Primarily responsible for the effective use of proper cleaning equipment use and cleaning procedures.<div></div><div>
QUALIFICATIONS</div><div></div><div>
Education<br>
Required: High School diploma or equivalent GED<br>
<br>
Experience<br>
Required: Minimum of six months health care environmental services experience.<br>
<br>
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities<br>
Successful completion of specialized sterile areas cleaning training as applicable<br>
Working knowledge of basic cleaning procedures, particularly as it relates to the sterile areas.<br>
Working knowledge of materials, methods and practices used in cleaning operations.<br>
Working knowledge of the operation and care of cleaning electrical equipment and other EVS equipment.<br>
Ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.<br>
Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and odor control in work area.<br>
Ability to read and write and follow direct written and oral instructions.<br>
Ability to multi-task and collaborate with key stakeholders.</div><div></div><div><br>
Testing<br>
Must pass the Physical Capacity Exam (PCE). This exam includes a 50-pound lifting requirement.</div><div></div><div>
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<br>

Essential<br>
<br>
Performs cleaning and disinfection of all Sterile areas, with particular attention to the special needs in surgical areas; sterile processing; and medication rooms in accordance with regulatory standards and established organization&rsquo;s procedures. Aware of medication room access and security protocol, to include immediately reporting any security breach.<br>

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.<br>

Pay Range</div>
$20.38 -$30.57<div></div><div>
