Kay and Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Coordinator-Procurement Supervisor to oversee the coordination and flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within and between departments to meet production and shipping schedules. This position plays a key role in ensuring material availability, maintaining production efficiency, and managing a small team of procurement personnel to support operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies to align with production and shipping schedules.
</li>
<li>Review production schedules and collaborate with department supervisors to identify required, delayed, or missing materials.
</li>
<li>Requisition and schedule material deliveries based on job order priorities and material availability.
</li>
<li>Arrange in-plant transfers and ensure timely delivery of materials to production areas.
</li>
<li>Verify that materials delivered meet specifications and quality standards.
</li>
<li>Collaborate with supervisors to resolve material shortages, repair needs, or logistical challenges.
</li>
<li>Monitor and control movement of materials and parts through manual or automated systems.
</li>
<li>Maintain accurate inventory and production records using manual or computerized tracking systems.
</li>
<li>Prepare reports on material status, usage, and availability for management review.
</li>
<li>Lead, train, and support a small procurement team to achieve department performance goals.
</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and material handling procedures.
</li>
</ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications:</h4>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
</li>
<li>Experience in material coordination, logistics, or supply chain operations.
</li>
<li>Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
</li>
<li>Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
</li>
<li>Proficiency with inventory management and ERP systems.
</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
</li>
<li>Forklift or industrial truck experience a plus.
</li>
