Position Description:

The Supplier Quality Engineer will provide support to the Kearfott organization relative to the improvement of vendor-supplied material and components through Quality interface, technical expertise and support to Suppliers.

Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Understands and implements key aspects of Supplier Quality fundamentals to achieve best-in-class Quality, delivery and service.</li>
<li>Ensure supplied products meet all specifications, requirements and expectations.</li>
<li>Investigate, assign and support Supplier Root Cause and Corrective Action efforts.</li>
<li>Track Supplier Corrective Action responses and monitor their effectiveness.</li>
<li>Support in-house Corrective Action Reviews with Supplier-provided input.</li>
<li>Liaison between Suppliers, Purchasing, Engineering, Production and Contracts.</li>
<li>Lead and communicate Quality initiatives within the organization.</li>
<li>Use Continuous Improvement tools to support process enhancements and achieve company goals.</li>
<li>Enhance and improve departmental procedures and standard work.</li>
<li>Interact and provide technical oversight to hourly Receiving and In-Process Inspectors.</li>

<li>Must have demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage and complete multiple projects with varied objectives.</li>
</ul>
Required Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree, Engineering degree required, or equivalent education and experience.</li>
<li>Required minimum 2 years practical experience with Quality Assurance or Quality Control in a manufacturing environment; experience in Supplier Quality Engineering strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Required experience working directly with vendors or distributors to resolve Quality issues.</li>
<li>Required experience using Quality Tools such as FAI, PFMEA, Control Plans, FMEA, Gage R&amp;R, Process Capability, Process Flow, SPC, GD&amp;T, Poke Yoke, RCCA, etc.; Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.</li>
<li>Must be US Citizen</li>
<li>Must be able to work on U.S. government programs and/or obtain security clearance.</li>
