SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a primary care group of up to 10 children ranging from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. (Assigned state ratio applies)</li>
<li>Plans, implements, and supervises the class's daily program according to the philosophy of LeafSpring School.</li>
<li>Incorporates principles of age-appropriate growth and development and developmentally appropriate practice in daily lesson plans.</li>
<li>Must complete the Virginia Preservice Training (10 hr. training)</li>
</ul>
THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
<ul>
<li>Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>A positive attitude and work ethic &ndash; must be a team player!</li>
</ul>
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>6+ months of programmatic experience, working in a licensed and/or accredited child care facility required.</li>
<li>Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or other child-related fields. (assistance available for those who want to further their degree!)</li>
<li>Does not have scheduling restrictions between the hours of 6:45 am-6:15 pm</li>
<li>Our pay starts at $15/hour and goes up from there depending on position, education, and experience.</li>
</ul>
We will train you and give you valuable industry experience. Daycare, nanny, summer camp, babysitting, Montessori, and Reggio-Emilio experience welcome!
