Kellanova

Join our Research and Development team as a Food Scientist where you can create food people enjoy. Lead and collaborate on complex programs from ideation through scale-up for new products, value transformation savings and product quality improvement. As the technical expert, you will apply your knowledge of food science and process technology. This position is based out of Chicago, IL or Battle Creek, MI. Estimated travel is 20-40%.
 
Innovate with us as you develop and refine food process technology from idea generation through proof of concept to commercialization. You will assume the role of an innovator, project leader, and technical problem solver. Team up with cross-functional partners to provide timely and cost-effective innovation / renovation to drive growth. This role will work primarily on RXBar with the potential of other brands within Kellanova’s Sweet Snacking category.

Drive Business Growth – Lead and support research and development projects from end to end. Manage projects on technical and scientific investigations & experimentation.

Technical Expertise - Leverage your technical expertise and culinary acumen. Design food while you develop and commercialize different initiatives. This includes innovation, cost optimization, external partnerships, and process improvements through intellectual & empirical curiosity, investigation & training.
 
We’re Looking for Someone With
 
Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science and/or Food Processing & Technology or higher education with relevant experience.
 Experience in product formula optimization and assessing emerging technologies in the food industry.
 Proven track record of project leadership, business acumen, cost consciousness, communication skills, and diplomacy.
 Ability to promote good relations with all facets of management and other technical and scientific disciplines in the effective execution of projects.
 
Compensation
 
The annual salary range is $101,800-$133,500, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.

 You will ensure a strong financial control environment through the development of financial processes, monitoring compliance along with leading the day-to-day activities for the Egyptian business.

 A Taste of What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing

 Ensure the timely preparation of accounting bookings by using technical accounting skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Control the accounting bookings performed by global business services (GBS) teams
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for timely issuance of the statutory annual financial statements and other financial reporting obligations for entities
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaison with external auditors to provide the required information to finalize the external audit process
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for quarter-end/year-end management representative letter (MRL) submissions with strict deadlines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep track of the changes in statutory regulations that can impact and accounting matters
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that the entities are in corporate compliance with all statutory requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain all financial control documentation in line with Kellanova requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate the financial committee meetings with business units (BU) to discuss and support the teams on the ongoing matters and report to Regional Controlling team
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaison with cross-functional teams (commercial finance, legal, tax, marketing, procurement, HR, etc.) to support in the financial processes
 </li>
