Welder III

<div><p>POSITION SUMMARY</p><p>
Supplier Quality engineer will be responsible for managing supplier programs for manufacturing, packaging, and other operational processes, as well as ensuring that quality programs are in compliance with regulatory requirements. Also, to be part of the problem-solving teams. This will include process auditing, product quality objectives and other activities related to the manufacturing process. The goal of this position assess quality and ensure all products are free from defects and in compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications and government standards.</p><p>
RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; DUTIES</p><ul><li>
Monitor current supplier quality performance through Supplier Score cards and other process.</li><li>
Managing the SCAR&rsquo;s program which includes issuing SCARs and ensuring that the SCAR&rsquo;s are returned, completed correctly, and validated.</li><li>
Coordinate between engineering, production personnel, and Quality Engineer to solve production quality issues created by the Supplier.</li><li>
Maintaining constant communication with supplier to ensure all quality requirements are being meet. Example: Heat Cert,DoC, packaging standard.</li><li>
Review new change to current approved part (requested internal / external).</li><li>
Requesting, monitoring, and approving new KPAP&rsquo;s on new revision design on a part or new part number to the current approved supplier.</li><li>
Engaging with suppliers and Supply Chain to help correct supplier behavior if possible and if not bring it to upper management attention to start switching to 2nd supplier for that part.</li><li>
Coordinate with Design engineering about the new product and new components.</li><li>
Coordinate with Quality Engineer to ensure if the customer needs to be notified on new part design change.</li><li>
Coordinate with Supply Chain (local and/or global) &amp; Engineer on new component supplier qualifications and any new supplier approval.</li><li>
Manage the New Supplier approval process according to the QMS.</li><li>
Ensure that supplier KPAP&rsquo;s documents on new part or revised parts are submitted, evaluated, validated, and approved before approval is given.</li><li>
Ensure QMS documents reflect the New Supplier or new parts reflects the new supplier part requirements.</li><li>
Questioning the nature of defects while providing future solutions.</li><li>

The SQM manages specialized tier-2 suppliers from initial technology development through high-volume production. By enforcing strict quality controls, this position prevents deployment delays, stabilizes the global supply chain, and mitigates catastrophic field failures in live datacenter environments.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; DUTIES</b></p><br>

Assess potential suppliers, conduct audits of their facilities and processes, and ensure they meet the necessary quality standards and requirements. Visiting supplier facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures.</li><li>
Manage complex Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product introductions.</li><li>
Ensure all mechanical fabrications meet strict global mandates, including ASME Section VIII for pressure vessels.</li><li>
Verify supplier execution of hydrostatic testing, helium leak detection, radiography, and other validation processes required by the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).</li><li>
Drive rigorous 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone root-cause analyses for critical structural leaks or electrical shorts.</li><li>
Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in their processes, performance, and quality management systems. Serving as a liaison between our company's senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and come up with solutions.</li><li>
Feed manufacturing defect data and field-failure metrics back to internal Design for Manufacturing (DFM) teams and influence inputs into the DFMEA &amp; PFMEA processes</li><li>
Provide objective quality performance data and metrics for supplier scorecards.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

This role is responsible for programming, maintaining, and optimizing robotic welding systems to ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa), welding processes, and automation integration.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
