Hours: 10 hours per week.</b></p><p></p><p><br>
The <b>Rehabilitation Aide/Transporter </b>will transfer and transport patients and provide patient care under direct supervision of a clinician within the policies and procedures of both the Institute and the departmental program, and in accordance with laws and regulations of the state of Maryland. This position will assist clinical staff in the provision of patient care programs and perform supportive tasks, including those serving the administrative, maintenance, and operational needs of the program.</p>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Prepare, maintain, and clean patient treatment areas before &amp; after treatment sessions. Adhere to Kennedy Krieger Institute policies regarding patient &amp; staff safety, hygiene, patient privacy, and patient-specific and standard precautions.
</li><li>Assist in the practice of therapeutic exercise &amp; functional activities programs under direct supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist per Maryland state law.
</li><li>Greet, transport, and assist patients with hygiene and/or dressing needs.
</li><li>Remind and clarify appointment schedules for patients in conjunction with clinicians&rsquo; treatment plans and care center scheduling.
</li><li>Provide general program overview and conduct tours of the clinic for new patients and families.</li><li>
Maintain program supplies, including ordering, inventory control, labeling and storing supplies. Participate in maintenance, organization, care, cleaning, transport, tracking, scheduling and safe storage of equipment. Identify and correct/report quality control problems, such as removal and coordination of repair of broken equipment, or environmental hazards.</li><li>
Actively participate in meetings and committees including execution of tasks related to preparing for regulatory review and performance improvement projects. Attend staff and supervisory meetings and training sessions.
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<p>
Must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.</p><div></div><div><p><b><br>
EDUCATION:</b></p></div><br>
<ul><li>
High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent required.</li><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>
Enrollment in health occupation curriculum, certification, or academic program is preferred.</li></ul><p></p><div><p><b><br>
EXPERIENCE:</b></p></div><br>
<ul><li>
Previous experience working or volunteering in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.</li><li>
Experience working with or treating children or adults with developmental or acquired disabilities is preferred.</li></ul>
Minimum pay range: USD $15.00/Hr. Maximum pay range: USD $23.00/Hr.</div>

The <b>Behavior Data Specialist</b> will organize and maintain data collection and statistical analysis systems for the program; assist with behavioral assessments and program implementation; assist with research activities and staff/parent training; assume Clinical Specialist I duties in the temporary absence of such staff.</div><div></div><div><b><i><br>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Collect and record data based on observable patient behavior.
</li><li>Assist primary therapist in maintaining up-to-date graphs, summarizing and calculating data.
</li><li>Actively participate in the implementation of baseline, treatment, parent training and generalization sessions.</li><li>
Assist primary therapist in the preparation and clean-up of session-related activities (preparing patient, room, computers, recording equipment, etc.).</li><li>
Assist with case-related duties such as protocol dissemination, protocol reviews, and staff/parent training.</li><li>
Utilize safe and appropriate handling, management and guidance procedures when transporting or working with patients.</li><li>
Provide direct patient care following the prescribed behavioral protocols.</li><li>
Assume primary therapist responsibilities in the temporary absence of the primary therapist.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

EDUCATION:</b></div></div><br>
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in psychology, education or allied discipline is required.
</li><li>Special exception to this requirement may be given under narrow circumstances in which a candidate has very specific and significant training, experience and knowledge of applied behavioral analysis and implementing behavioral protocols with pediatric patients.</li></ul><div></div><div><div><b><br>
EXPERIENCE:</b></div></div><br>
<ul><li>
Previous experience in the implementation of behavioral assessment/treatment programs with the developmentally disabled population is highly preferred.</li></ul></div>
