Job Title: Outreach Adult Programmer

Pay Range: $18.03 - $25.45 per hour 


Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), with a schedule that may include any day of the week, including days, evenings, weekends, and the holidays the Library is open.

We&rsquo;re looking for an Outreach Adult Programmer who is compassionate, creative, and passionate about connecting adults and seniors with library services beyond our walls. What You&rsquo;ll Do
<ul><li>
Deliver library services beyond library walls by providing outreach to assisted-living facilities, retirement centers, and other adult-serving community spaces.</li><li>
Plan and present engaging programs for older adults, seniors, and caregivers that support lifelong learning and enrichment.</li><li>
Coordinate and maintain deposit and rotating collections tailored to the interests and needs of outreach partners.</li><li>
Build and nurture strong community partnerships that expand access to library resources and services across Kenton County.</li><li>
Provide reader&rsquo;s advisory, basic technology help, and informational support to adult and homebound patrons.</li><li>
Regularly visit community partners to deliver materials, programs, and personalized library services.</li><li>
Promote Outreach Services and library resources enthusiastically to patrons, partners, and the broader community.</li><li>
Collaborate with staff systemwide to support outreach initiatives, storytimes, and special projects.</li><li>
Assess, evaluate, and refine outreach programs, services, and collections to better meet patron needs.</li><li>
Track outreach activities and prepare thoughtful monthly reports that highlight community impact.</li><li>
Perform other job-related tasks as needed to support Library operations.</li></ul>

Qualifications Required
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.
</li><li>KDLA certification (or ability to obtain) at the level required for this position, and the ability to maintain it.</li><li>
Demonstrated customer-service experience, patience under pressure, and comfort interacting with a wide range of patrons.</li><li>
Experience working with seniors and/or individuals in memory care preferred.
</li><li>Work at other KCPL locations required.
</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and means of transportation to fulfill job responsibilities.</li><li>
Following training, must drive and park Library vehicles.</li><li>
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 30 lbs., pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs., and occasional reaching, bending, and kneeling.</li></ul>
