</p><p>JOB SUMMARY<br>
The I&amp;E Technician &ndash; Regulatory Systems is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, verifying, troubleshooting compliance-critical inspection, coding, and monitoring systems in a regulated food manufacturing environment.<br>
This role ensures that all regulatory systems operate within validated parameters to meet food safety, accuracy, traceability, and audit requirements. The technician serves as a key technical owner that directly impacts product integrity and regulatory compliance.</p><div>
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
VISION &amp; CODE VERIFICATION SYSTEM<br>
Maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection systems used to:<br>
<ul><li>Verify correct label application</li><li>Validate UV 2D code readability and accuracy</li><li>Perform routine verification checks to ensure:</li><li>Code contrast, placement, and readability meet specification</li><li>Label-to-product validation is functioning correctly</li><li>Support changeovers and product recipe validation</li><li>Document verification results for audit traceability</li><li>Support QA during internal and external audits</li></ul></div><div>
INDUSTRIAL PRINTING SYSTEMS<br>
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial printers used for:<br>
<ul><li>UV 2D code printing</li><li>Date coding</li><li>Lot traceability</li><li>Product information labeling</li><li>Perform print quality verification checks</li><li>Calibrate print timing, placement, and communication with line controls</li><li>Manage preventative maintenance schedules</li><li>Validate printer performance after maintenance or repairs</li><li>Experience with Videojet and/or Markem-Imaje printers is highly valued</li></ul></div><div>
METAL DETECTION &amp; X-RAY INSPECTION SYSTEMS<br>
<ul><li>Perform scheduled calibrations and verification testing</li><li>Validate sensitivity using certified test standards</li></ul></div><ul><li>Troubleshoot detection faults and reject system issues</li><li>Ensure reject mechanisms function reliably</li><li>Maintain complete calibration and verification documentation</li><li>Support regulatory inspections and audit readiness Experience with Loma X-ray systems is preferred.</li></ul><div>
CHECKWEIGHERS &amp; SCALES<br>
<ul><li>Perform scale calibration and verification per regulatory schedule</li><li>Ensure compliance with weights and measures standards</li><li>Troubleshoot load cells, signal conditioning, and drift</li><li>Maintain audit-ready documentation</li><li>Support validation after mechanical or electrical repairs</li></ul></div><div>
TEMPERATURE MONITORING &amp; CHART RECORDERS<br>
<ul><li>Maintain electronic or chart-based temperature monitoring systems</li><li>Calibrate and verify chart recorders and data logging systems</li><li>Validate alarm and notification functionality</li><li>Ensure proper data retention and regulatory compliance</li></ul></div><div>
RTD SYSTEMS<br>
<ul><li>Perform RTD calibration and verification</li><li>Validate temperature accuracy using certified reference standards</li><li>Troubleshoot sensor drift, wiring issues, and signal inconsistencies</li><li>Support validation of critical control points (CCPs)</li></ul></div><div>
CHEMICAL CONDUCTIVITY MONITORING<br>
<ul><li>Calibrate and verify conductivity probes used for:</li><li>CIP validation</li><li>Chemical additive verification</li><li>Troubleshoot probe fouling, scaling, and signal drift</li><li>Maintain regulatory documentation and calibration records</li></ul></div><div>
DOCUMENTATION &amp; COMPLIANCE<br>
<ul><li>Maintain calibration and verification records within CMMS or regulatory systems</li><li>Ensure systems remain within validated control limits</li><li>Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits</li><li>Participate in root cause investigations involving compliance systems</li><li>Assist in developing or updating SOPs related to inspection and validation systems</li></ul><br>
</div><div>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<br>
<ul><li>2-5 Years of Instrumentation and Electrical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred</li><li>Instrumentations degree or Industrial Maintenance certifications, preferred</li><li>Experience maintaining or troubleshooting industrial electrical, instrumentation, or inspection systems</li><li>Working knowledge of calibration principles and verification procedures</li><li>Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation</li><li>Familiarity with industrial control systems (24VDC, 120VAC)</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills in regulated production environments</li><li>Experience in food manufacturing or similar regulated industries is highly preferred</li><li>Experience with Videojet printers, Markem-Imaje printers, Loma X-ray systems, vision systems, checkweighers, or
</li></ul>conductivity instrumentation is a plus</div><div>
