Key Apparel is a clothing company located in Ft. Scott, KS, focused on creating high quality work, industrial and outdoor related apparel. KEY is searching for a Distribution Center Manager to supervise warehouse employees and oversee daily operations.Successful Candidate Attributes:Monitors all aspects of the day-to-day warehouse operations insuring timely delivery of product to customers. You will be responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized by leading a team of warehouse employees, as well as adhering to current policies and procedures and making recommendations for areas that may need improvement.Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee the daily workflow of the distribution team.</li><li>Manage warehouse employees and supervisors.</li><li>Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.</li><li>Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.</li><li>Manage the Company&rsquo;s freight programs.</li></ul>Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Schedules pickup, delivery, and distribution of products and materials.</li><li>Forecasts peak delivery periods and issues appropriate work assignments.</li><li>Provides shipping instructions and routing information; confirms and coordinates delivery times and locations.</li><li>Responds to orders efficiently so that products are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Addresses logistical problems and furnishes solutions to these issues.</li><li>Meets with other managers to confer about products, shipping times, and distribution issues, among many other concerns.</li><li>Establishes warehouse safety and security programs and training activities.</li><li>Manages facility maintenance to ensure safe and orderly facility.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Ability to manage and coordinate a variety of shipping methods.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong supervisory and leadership skills.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred</li><li>Five years of related management experience required</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to traverse the distribution and storage facility regularly</li><li>Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time</li></ul>This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position and this position may require the performance of other duties as necessary.Compensation/Benefits:Key offers competitive compensation including a highly competitive benefits package.Interested candidates please submit your resume with references via email to: HR@keyapparel.comFor more information about Key, please visit our website at keyapparel.comBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
