Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Piping Designer for a Lake Charles Area onsite position.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Lake Charles Area Facility

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary, Plant
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required.

Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Onsite piping design position at a Lake Charles Area client facility. 
</li>
<li>Provide piping design support by working with plant design staff and project managers to generate construction packages.</li>
<li>Drawings include P&amp;IDs, ISO's, Ortho's, and BOM's prepared using CADWorx.</li>
<li>Provide edits/updates in CADWorx to plant documentation.</li>
<li>Perform field data collection of dimensions, reference points, and existing installations to ensure accurate locational representation on all projects.</li>
<li>Communicate with operations and plant maintenance staff for input on project details.</li>
<li>Ensure all drawings are prepared using client standards for completeness, and overall quality, and follow document control procedures.</li>
<li>Perform checking for overall drawing integrity.</li>
<li>Follow all plant safety requirements to work onsite.</li>
<li>Able to make field trips and climb in structures, if needed.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>A.S. Degree in Drafting from an Accredited Institution.</li>
<li>3 - 7 years of design/drafting experience.
</li><li>Hands-on experience with CADWorx.</li>
<li>Aptitude for understanding technical &amp; construction terminology.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.</li>
<li>Attention to detail.</li>
<li>Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the U.S for any employer.</li>
<li>Applicant must possess a current, valid TWIC card.</li>
</ul>
Experience Preferred:
<ul>
<li>Field Construction experience coupled with CAD Skills.</li>
<li>Prior experience obtained from onsite assignments and/or engineering firm positions.</li></ul></div>
