The role requires a strong technical background, leadership in site coordination, and adherence to design standards and project timelines. The ideal candidate must hold a G+12 Municipality approval (or equivalent) and possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in an engineering consultancy environment.Key Responsibilities1. Technical &amp; Site Supervision<ul><li>Act as the main technical advisor on-site for subcontractors, site engineers, and workers.</li><li>Review, check, and interpret drawings, plans, and quantities for accuracy.</li><li>Ensure that all materials used and work performed comply with specifications, standards, and approved drawings.</li><li>Set out, level, and survey the site in coordination with the project team.</li><li>Oversee quality control and health &amp; safety matters on-site.</li><li>Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within approved timelines and budget.</li><li>Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.</li><li>Resolve unexpected technical issues and coordinate solutions with consultants and clients.</li></ul>2. Project Management<ul><li>Support the Project Manager in preparing schedules, progress reports, and BOQs.</li><li>Manage and supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely completion of work.</li><li>Participate in developing milestone schedules and three-week look-ahead programs.</li><li>Monitor and control project costs, ensuring execution remains within the approved budget.</li><li>Implement value engineering solutions to optimize cost and performance.</li><li>Review and approve civil works before submission for client or consultant inspection.</li></ul>3. Coordination &amp; Communication<ul><li>Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities for project-related matters and approvals.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, construction regulations, and by-laws.</li><li>Attend coordination and progress meetings with stakeholders and report updates to management.</li><li>Maintain regular communication with internal departments to align project execution strategies.</li></ul>4. Documentation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and correspondence related to project progress and performance.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of management reports including project dashboards, milestone updates, cost and risk assessments.</li><li>Ensure lessons learned and best practices are documented for future reference.</li></ul>5. Senior Civil Engineer
