Kickapoo Tribal Health Center

The Transporter/Housekeeper position at the Eagle Pass Field Office, under the Eagle Pass Field Office Director of the Kickapoo Tribal Health Center, is responsible for providing transportation services to Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma (KTO) members for medical appointments and traditional ceremonies in Mexico. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., with flexibility for after-hours transportation as needed. This position requires the employee to bend, lift, stoop, and stretch. The employee will also input medical data into a computer and carry out daily cleaning duties to maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors. These janitorial tasks include cleaning and disinfecting both inside and outside of the assigned building(s) to reduce the risk of accidents and disease transmission. Additionally, the employee will perform various administrative duties, including assisting tribal members with PRC (Patient Referral Center) registration for Kickapoo Tribe of Texas (KTT) Health Center services. General Description:This position organizationally falls under the Nursing Director of the Kickapoo Tribal Health Center as operated by The Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. or as may be needed to serve the needs of the population served. The purpose of this position is to perform those duties as may be commonly associated with a Medical Assistant implementing care in an ambulatory care setting. Skills and knowledge base should be applicable to ages across the life span including the care of adult, pediatric, geriatric, and obstetrical patients in the outpatient settings.Performs duties in support of the Kickapoo Tribal Health Center&rsquo;s mission to ensure the highest quality of services in an economically sound manner.Experience: 1-year experience as a Medical Scheduler or other title wherein the applicant performed duties associated with clerical support.Education: High School Diploma or GEDSuccessful completion of a Medical Office Assistant Program, preferredPostsecondary training: Medical Administrative certification, Medical Office Manager certification, Medical terminology, transcriptions and coding training, preferredRequirements:All applicants tentatively selected for employment will be required to submit to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and random drug testing throughout employment.Will be required to have an OSBI and Federal background clearance.Must have valid Oklahoma Driver&rsquo;s License.Your application will be rated based on the information provided in your application, therefore your application must state specific duties that relate to this position.
