Senior Manager of Demand Planning & CPFR
 
Location: Mebane, NC
 Base Salary Rate: $136,691.00 - $160,813.00

About This Role
 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Demand Planning & Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) to lead a team of talented professionals responsible for managing demand planning and collaborative forecasting processes for both retail and commercial customers. This role will oversee a team of 3 CPFR Managers who focus on retail customers and 2 Demand Planners working with commercial customers. The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving improvements in forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to ensure that supply chain operations are aligned with demand and business goals.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Leadership & Team Management: 
<ul>
<li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Demand Planners and CPFR Managers, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.</li>
<li>Set clear performance goals for the team, regularly evaluating progress, and ensuring continuous professional development.</li>
<li>Cultivate strong relationships with key internal teams (sales, marketing, supply chain, and production) and external stakeholders (customers and suppliers) to align forecasts and ensure a unified approach to demand planning.</li>
</ul>
Demand Planning & Forecasting: 
<ul>
<li>Oversee the demand forecasting process for both retail and commercial customer segments, ensuring accurate and timely demand plans.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Demand Planners to build robust, data-driven forecasts that reflect current trends, market conditions, and customer behaviors.</li>
<li>Partner with CPFR Managers to ensure that collaborative planning efforts with retail customers lead to accurate demand signals and optimal replenishment strategies.</li>
<li>Monitor forecast accuracy and lead corrective actions for improvements in forecasting processes, inventory management, and supply chain alignment.</li>
</ul>
Collaboration with Customers: 
<ul>
<li>Lead the collaborative forecasting and replenishment activities with retail customers to ensure accurate demand signals and efficient inventory management.</li>
<li>Coordinate joint planning sessions with customers to address gaps, align on key priorities, and ensure that customer needs are consistently met.</li>
<li>Maintain strong relationships with retail partners to ensure their evolving needs are understood and incorporated into demand planning processes.</li>
</ul>
Inventory Optimization & Supply Chain Coordination: 
<ul>
<li>Ensure that demand forecasts align with inventory targets to minimize excess stock while meeting customer demand.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal supply chain teams to align production and replenishment schedules based on forecasted demand.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, lead-time reduction, and supply chain efficiency.</li>
</ul>
Reporting & Analytics: 
<ul>
<li>Develop and deliver regular reports and performance metrics to senior management, providing insights into forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and supply chain efficiency.</li>
<li>Use data and analytics to assess demand patterns, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve processes and drive cost savings.</li>
</ul>
Continuous Improvement: 
<ul>
<li>Identify opportunities to optimize demand planning and CPFR processes, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions to improve team effectiveness.</li>
<li>Implement systems and tools that enable better data analysis, forecasting, and collaboration across teams.</li>
<li>Stay updated on industry trends, supply chain innovations, and demand planning technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.</li>
</ul>
Basic Qualifications
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree</li>
<li>7+ years of experience in demand planning, CPFR, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of leading teams.</li>
<li>7+ years of experience working with retail or commercial customers.</li>
<li>7+ years’ management and leadership knowledge to lead teams.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
 
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in demand planning software and Excel (experience with ERP and forecasting tools like SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus).</li>
<li>Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with key stakeholders.</li>
<li>A deep understanding of inventory management, supply chain processes, and demand forecasting best practices.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and driving results.</li>
</ul>
Compensation and Benefits
 Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
