Overview of the Daycare Teacher roleA daycare teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. They plan and implement educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development while ensuring children's well-being and safety.Job Title: Daycare TeacherRole: Full-time/OnsiteWork Days: Monday to SaturdayTimings: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PMLocation: BPTP Astaire, C-block, Sector 70A, Gurugram Haryana 122103, Gurugram Gurugram, India 122103Job Responsibilities:Classroom Management<ul><li>Ensuring age-appropriate resources are labelled and accessible for use.</li><li>Ensuring children records, teacher&rsquo;s corner is updated with accurate information.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe environment, welcoming for children.</li><li>Display boards and children&rsquo;s work is always updated.</li><li>Ensuring children's bags and belongings are neatly stored away and mindfully packed everyday for return to home.</li><li>Ensuring meal and nap arrangement is led on time.</li></ul>Learning Engagement<ul><li>Ensuring adherence to the daily schedules and routine of the children.</li><li>Providing seven areas of learning environment as per EYFS curriculum for children.</li><li>Follow the activity planner of Daycare.</li><li>Ensuring children transition to different activities and learning spaces smoothly. Adapt lessons to children's interests and learning styles.</li><li>Adapt to children's moods and interests to keep them engaged.</li><li>Help new children to settle swiftly following in the settling policy.</li><li>Lead children to outdoor and indoor area play.</li><li>Use creative ways of storytelling, play based learning, role play etc for learning</li><li>Demonstrate kindness, patience, and active listening.</li><li>Incorporate movement, music, and sensory activities.</li><li>Foster confidence in children by planning hands-on and child led activities.</li><li>Guide children with gentle expectations for correcting behaviour.</li><li>Children coming from afterschool or children transitioning from morning to daycare should blend smoothly by helping in changing uniform, meals and transitioning them to sleep or daycare activities.</li><li>Aid older daycare children incase of homework supervision.</li><li>Prepare for special days and events as per the annual calendar.</li><li>Provide attentive and nurturing care to children.</li></ul>Communication with parents<ul><li>Provide an update of each child's day, including meals, naps, and activities daily.</li><li>Use a parent communication app.</li><li>Always be updated with child&rsquo;s meal, care, nap, schedule requirements.</li><li>Encourage parent Involvement in events and school initiatives.</li><li>Be able to conduct parent-teacher meetings successfully by handling concerns professionally</li><li>Address behavioural or developmental concerns with parents sensitively. Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with families. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.</li></ul>Health &amp; safety compliance<ul><li>Carrying out risk assessment for classrooms and keeping office informed for corrective measures.</li><li>Ensuring children are always in ratio of adult supervision.</li><li>Child should always be attended by an adult.</li><li>Always be informed about allergies and illness of the child and display information as necessary for other team members who are responsible for care.</li><li>Incidents should be reported in a timely and transparent manner.</li><li>Keeping children in hygienic and safe conditions. Ensuring classrooms are naturally ventilated during the day and is kept odour free.</li><li>Ensuring children are served fresh and hygienic meals.</li><li>Children are provided with clean dairy products and bottles for feeding.</li><li>Children diapering and toileting needs attended promptly. Ensuring facilities are cleaned and maintained by nannies.</li></ul>Additional responsibilities<ul><li>Coordinate and participate in school events.</li><li>Help in preparing centre displays.</li><li>Provide substitute assistance in the absence of other team members.</li></ul>Educational Qualifications:<ul><li>Graduation in any discipline.</li><li>Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).</li><li>First Aid and CPR Certification (optional)</li></ul>Work Experience:<ul><li>Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a childcare care setting with young people.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Patient, nurturing and love for working with children.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Mobile and social media savvy.</li><li>Confident in using parent app.</li><li>Be able to work on MS-office with basic skills for developing planner and schedules.</li><li>Creativity and ability to prepare and design display boards and decorations.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li></ul>Additional Information:<ul><li>Distance to workplace: 1 to 8 km.</li><li>Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and needs of children.</li><li>Willing to move between different age groups of children ranging from infants to 10 years.</li><li>Team Player: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.</li><li>Physical Stamina: Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day.</li><li>Maintain high discipline for attendance and timeliness.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, FresherPay: &#8377;20,000.00 - &#8377;25,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
