Your Role at KIK</b></p><p>
Join our team as a <b>2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:30pm with OT on weekends as needed).</b> In this role you&rsquo;ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You&rsquo;ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. Bring your expertise and tools to a dynamic environment that values efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement. This position has an <b>hourly rate ranging from $30.00 - $33.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential</b> for hours worked after 1st shift. The compensation is negotiable based upon a candidate&rsquo;s experience and skill set.
</p><p><b>What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing</b></p><ul><li>
Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision</li><li>
Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems</li><li>
Experience with troubleshooting bottling, filling equipment and gantry palletizers</li><li>
Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick &amp; innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving</li><li>
Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner</li><li>
Perform general electrical repairs including wire connections, relays, photo-eyes, solenoids, working with 120v-480v, diagnose and wire up motors and troubleshoot variable speed drives. Must be able to properly use multimeter and read schematics</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections</li><li>
Modify, repair, install and troubleshoot various conveyor systems including but not limited to roller, belt, intralox, gravity, chain plate types</li><li>
Diagnose, rebuild, troubleshoot and replace various pump types</li><li>
Experience with using CMMS and documenting emergency and planned work and good communication skills</li><li>
Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing &amp; packaging departments</li><li>
Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment</li><li>
Frequently modify packaging &amp; process equipment for new products</li><li>
Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems.</li><li>
Experience with general shop tools and fabrication including use of grinders, saws, presses, lathes and mills</li><li>
Lifting, twisting, carrying up to 45 lbs. is a requirement of the position</li><li>
Working in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments</li><li>
Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location</li><li>
Be able to wear full face respirator as necessary</li><li>
Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations</li></ul><p><b>
What You&rsquo;ll Bring</b></p><ul><li>
2 or more years&rsquo; mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment (food industry is highly preferred)</li><li>
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) Ability to communicate effectively</li><li>
Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment</li><li>
Excellent Interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Time Management and Organization; Ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities</li></ul><p><b>
Physical Capabilities</b></p><ul><li>
Occasionally exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force (up to 1/3 of the time).</li><li>
Frequently applying 10 to 25 pounds of force (from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time).</li><li>
Regularly required to handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds throughout the shift (2/3 or more of the time) for moving objects.</li><li>
Must have the ability to perform the following: Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Handling</li><li>
Must be able to visually inspect parts and hear audible alarms and equipment signals, with or without accommodation</li></ul><p><b>

</div><div><b>What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing</b></div><ul><li>
Operate various high speed liquid filling machinery including but not limited to fillers, labelers, cappers, palletizers, depalletizes case erectors, and heat induction sealers case erectors, etc.</li><li>
Examine and act on production orders to determine quantities to be manufactured, job specifications and or special instructions.</li><li>
Maintain time and production records.</li><li>
Maintain quality standards.</li><li>
Conduct basic troubleshooting on the assigned equipment and perform minor equipment adjustments and changeovers.</li><li>
Follow Safety /GMP guidelines.</li><li><p>
Comply with PPE, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and procedures.</p></li></ul><p></p><div><b><br>
What You&rsquo;ll Bring</b></div><ul><li>
1-2 years&rsquo; experience as a Machine operator in the packaging industry.</li><li>
Production knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for effective manufacturing preferred.</li><li>
Must be able to verbally communicate, read and write in English.</li><li>
Basic mathematics skills required.</li><li>
Must be able to take direction and work unsupervised.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
