Kimley-Horn's is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training with 2+ years of experience to join the our MEP team!</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.</li><li>
Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients&rsquo; visions for the future built environment.</li><li>
Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn&rsquo;s and our client&rsquo;s practices, procedures, and standards.</li><li>
Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.</li><li>
Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC design.</li><li>
Project type will vary but may include Airports, Facilities, Universities, and more.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>2+ years experience in a similar mechnical engineering role</li><li>
An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>
EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication</li><li>
Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients</li><li>
Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic</li><li>
Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines</li><li>
Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment</li><li>
Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals</li><li>
Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, and/or SolidWorks</li></ul>

Mechanical Engineering Analyst

<div>Overview:

Our Melbourne, FL office is looking for a MEP Drafter/Designer with 4+ years of experience to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team!</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards</li><li>
Develop technical drawings and plans</li><li>
The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations</li><li>
Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks</li><li>
Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes</li><li>
Maintains drawing database</li><li>
Will supervise and train CAD staff</li><li>
Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control</li><li>
Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn&rsquo;s practices, procedures, and standards</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>4+ years of relevant experience</li><li>
High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)</li><li>
Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings</li><li>
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit</li><li>
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn</li><li>
Ability to work independently and with a team</li><li>
Willingness to mentor and teach others</li><li>

   Strong verbal and written communication skills
  </li>
  <li>
   Professional demeanor with a positive, solution-seeking attitude and a high sense of personal responsibility

  <li>
   Flexibility to periodically work outside normal working hours and travel, as required for business needs
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle simultaneous, varied assignments while providing consistent quality and accuracy

   InDesign software for layout of complex documents

   Video filming/editing and/or motion graphics
