&middot; Bedside handover takeover&middot; Knowledge about the assigned patient&middot; Evaluate patient condition. Inform cross referrals&middot; Prepares and assist in various bedside procedures&middot; Indent prescribed medicines and inform non availability&middot; Narcotic/expensive drugs as per protocol&middot; Collect investigation reports and inform&middot; Pre and post op care&middot; Nutritional needs as prescribed&middot; Report any undue delay or issues&middot; Follow protocol for: admission, discharge, death, transfer out/transfer in&middot; Follow Blood Transfusion policy as required.&middot; Informed consent to be taken for all special procedures and investigations&middot; Confidentiality of patient records and condition&middot; Proper management of emergencies&middot; Health education&middot; Inter departmental co-ordination&middot; Ensure morning care and personal hygiene especially by night nurse&middot; Accompany patient if necessary&middot; Emergency management&middot; Inform to in charge/ duty doctor in case of any abnormal values of investigation or any changes occur to the patient&middot; Handover and take over the ward equipment and medicines in each shift&middot; Sterilize all the instruments and keep the trays ready&middot; Maintain emergency tray, maintaining inventory register, replace stock medicines and stock status to be informed&middot; Prevent wastage and minimize misuse of supplies&middot; Take proper care of all the equipments after its use.
