Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team with the possibility of advancement to full time in the near future. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental assessments, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient management to ensure a comfortable experience for our patients.Duties<ul><li>Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.</li><li>Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, while adhering to aseptic techniques.</li><li>Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.</li><li>Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.</li><li>Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit.</li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to effectively treat younger patients.</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.</li><li>Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in a dental office or clinic environment is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Open Dental and Tab32 software is advantageous.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.</li><li>Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively during various dental procedures.</li><li>Experience with documentation review, medical coding, and maintaining accurate medical records is beneficial.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.</li><li>Understanding of vital signs monitoring and basic medical terminology is essential.</li><li>Aseptic technique knowledge is required to ensure safety during treatments.
