The Process Engineer/Senior reports to the Director-Project Management Engineering and will provide technical support, leadership and oversight to all commercial, operational, regulatory and maintenance activities as assigned within the KM Treating Business Unit, including gas conditioning, dehydration, hydrocarbon dewpoint control. Process modeling, process optimization, and project management are included in this position.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provide modeling of Gas Treating facilities to address design concerns, operational questions, capacity constraints, or new project development. This includes CO2 and H2S treating, Mechanical refrigeration units, JT units, and TEG Dehydrators.</li><li>
Provide technical guidance and input to Project Management Group. This includes: process modeling for new facilities, equipment design, and assessment of equipment during the refurbishment process.</li><li>
Provide technical guidance and input to Operations group for existing facilities. This includes: plant troubleshooting, amine analysis review, plant optimization, development of maintenance and operating procedures.</li><li>
Provide technical guidance and input to Business Development Group. This includes: preliminary equipment sizing, new application modeling, and providing technical answers to customers in a timely manner.</li><li>
Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operation.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Education:</b></div><ul><li>
B.S. or advanced degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering</li></ul><div><b>
Experience, Specific Knowledge and Competencies:</b></div><ul><li>
5+ years of demonstrated Oil and Gas industry experience. Process Engineering experience is preferred.</li><li>
Proficiency in using process simulation software such as ProMax to design and troubleshoot gas-treating equipment.</li><li>
Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>
Experience with evaluating and troubleshooting Amine and Dehy plants.</li><li>
Ability to work with a variety of different groups throughout the organization.</li><li>
Ability to communicate through written technical and non-technical reports, email, and public speaking when required.</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Teamwork, communication and problem solving.</li><li>
Effective computer skills (MS Word, EXEL, PowerPoint, and MS Project.</li><li>
PMP certification is a plus.</li></ul><div><b>
Working Conditions:</b></div><ul><li>
The regular work environment is typically in an office.</li><li>
May be required to make frequent trips to the field (20-25% travel anticipated).</li><li>
Employee will be required to be available by phone - this includes weekends and after business hours.</li><li>

Process Engineer/Senior - Treating

Position Description:</b></p><p>
This position is within Kinder Morgan&rsquo;s Midstream group, reporting to the Manager &ndash; Commercial Scheduling. This individual is the main point of contact for customer inquiries, analyzing and resolving issues regarding daily scheduling activities for natural gas and gas liquids on the various Kinder Morgan assets. These activities include nominations, confirmations, scheduling, allocations, and transportation logistics. This candidate should understand upstream and downstream departmental relations, as well as work closely with Operations and Commercial teams.</p><p><b>
Essential duties and responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Communicate with internal and external customers, operations, marketing, and pipeline personnel on daily and monthly scheduled activities.</li><li>
Establish and maintain positive relationships with producers, marketers, pipelines, and various internal business owners.</li><li>
Managing daily transportation logistics and schedules for all NGL products and residue gas.</li><li>
Daily confirmations with point operators which can include rail, barge, trucks, and pipelines.</li><li>
Participating in the on-call rotation and ability to work weekend, evening, or holiday shifts when scheduled.</li><li>
Responding accurately and timely to customer inquiries concerning operations and/or contract requirements.</li><li>
Reviewing and monitoring customer contractual rights as defined by the contract.</li><li>
Monitor SCADA and give directions to gas control to ensure the pipeline is operating safe, efficiently, and environmentally responsible.</li><li>
Processing allocations of physical flow.</li><li>
Reviewing and monitoring quantities and qualities of various products being transported or delivered.</li><li>
Reconciliation and resolution of contractual imbalances on a daily and monthly basis.</li><li>
Analyze and fully understand complex change requests and resolve competing priorities.</li><li>
Ability to comprehend the entire workflow from contract creation to invoicing.</li><li>
Completing end of the month closing responsibilities.</li><li>
Following through to appropriate areas within the company concerning issues relating to all the above.</li><li>
Special projects and other daily, weekly, or monthly assignments as required.</li></ul>
